College Coach Comparisons

The site that I have posted below just furthers my belief in the difference some coaches make when it becomes recruiting time.

Examples:
Ever notice when Richt holds a press conference that he is always sitting?
Every press conference that I have watched with Saban involved, coach is standing.
When Richt speaks he often asks questions of his supporting cast, not having the answer.
Saban appears to read nothing and looks at the audience versus looking down and to the right.
Saban is dressed for press conferences and does not waste time joking around.

There are many more examples . . . invite you to watch the press conference below and maybe compare the difference between a successful head coach and one that says he wants to be.

These young players are sure that they have been handed good information on their draft status. Also notice that Saban mentions his closeness with NFL personnel. Great recruiting tool. The players that come to the podium echo the fact that they trust Saban.

Yes Buc - you can sure tell the ones that MEAN BUSINESS and the ones that think its just a game - no big deal

Hope MrMACK sees your post so he can show it to CMR to let him know how an SEC football CEO making the kind of money he's making should conduct themselves

Man, you guys are relentless....lol.

There's a ton of truth in what is said but will give the benefit of the doubt on this one to differences in personalities.

Example..... a Belichick and a Parcells versus a Landry and a Walsh. All 4 extremely successful coaches with totally OPPOSITE personalities.

CMR is our coach right now and he has next year to prove himself. If he doesn't he's gone.

That simple.......don't ya'll think he's been bashed enough? Everyday? 10 1/2 months and we'll know. I too believe he will be gone.

(oh, just my opinion  )

When a UGA team has more losses in a season than points scored against a C-USA team, I think the head coach needs to be reminded as much as possible. Help him keep his eyes on the prize, so to speak, since as you pointed out, he will be our "coach" next season.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Kentucky did have one promising stretch, wiping out Georgia's lead with an 11-0 spurt early in the second half. The Wildcats' only advantage, 56-55, came on Jones' three-point play with just over 10 minutes remaining.

Fox ripped off his jacket and flung it into a chair on the bench after an offensive foul against his team. - showing some FIRE

But Ware responded with a 3-pointer that restored Georgia's lead.

Doron Lamb scored 18 points for Kentucky before fouling out. Liggins and Darius Miller also fouled out.

Georgia's strong start brought out the first sellout crowd of the season at Stegeman Coliseum, and unlike previous years the stands were not filled out with a hefty chunk of blue. Only a smattering of Kentucky fans were visible in the mostly red-clad crowd of 10,523. Many others roamed around outside the building in a futile search for tickets.

"It's a great win for our program," Fox said. "I'm proud of our team and really thank all the fans who came out. They were such an important part of this win."

Think that there is more than one way to approach any problem. Sometimes it is better to have a game plan and follow it. Richt seemed to have a plan when he arrived in Athens, record supported that.

Sometimes the original plan of action does not work, as witnessed by the changes or lack of changes that Richt made over the ten years.

Seems to me that Richt, just like some of the fat cats that set policy for the rest of us in Washington, felt a need to make changes, changes that did not affect him or those close to him, just the folks that were paying the way, the supporters of UGA. He wanted more and produced less. Did not affect him for many years, now like the 112th Congress, lack of action and focus on detail has caused him and the University of Georgia great concern. Where was that concern throughout the 10 years. This problem did not start one or two years ago as some suggest, it happened further back when he annointed himself CEO of Football at UGA.

Our Congress made huge changes at the ballot box this past year. Football runs on the same principles. You don't produce, you are asked to leave. When we allow ourselves to sleep at the wheel, only bad things can happen. Richt has been sleeping at the wheel for far too long without being called on it PUBLICLY. Folks have had enough and seems that McGarity knows it.

I guess Richt will turn our program around in the short time span of one year. Many on here suggested not too long ago that 2011 was our year. I hope for us, the fans and supporters that the predictions are true.
