Sounds like a great plan. But make Richt the recruiting coach and hire a new head coach.

wlayton, your quote made me sit back and think about these changes and the coaches involved.
Richt/Bobo have the QB they need to make their offense work. They have said that more than one time. Now they add IC and KM into the mix, including a large portion of the offensive line returning. I would be remiss if I did not mention strong and above average tight ends. Receivers, we will see.
Grantham on the other hand did not have and at this point does not have what he wants to make his defense reflect who he is.
I think the most important recruit for him will be John Jenkins. Grantham has said more than once that he needs a player like Jenkins. The paralllel here to me is we can not really judge Grantham until he has his players. If Jenkins comes on board, Grantham takes over the defensive line totally, then we can speak to whether or not Grantham is the man.
Do believe Drew would be icing on the cake this recruiting cycle defensively, but from my perspective, he is second to Jenkins. Drew might be all world, that is yet to be seen. He has shown his skills in high school. Jenkins has played at the collegiate level, played with folks that maybe did not make the grades to go to the more publicized schools, however, lots of quality football players come from the other ranks.
All I want to see is Grantham coaching the guys that he recruited and wants. The folks that played for him last year played hard, respect that. Appears that the offensive side has their players, let's do the same for the defense.

Hmmmmm. What the hell? Let's try it.
I think it certainly makes sense. I had rather have CTG coaching the D line. Anybody remember Dallas' front 3 a year ago? Also, if Garner has had OL coaching experience then it looks pretty obvious to me.

If we can reestablish control of both lines of scrimmage, we will win.
Recruiting and coaching to that end is all that matters.
Maybe sounds a little too simplistic but, nevertheless, what I think.

Buc, I like the way you offer views that are well thought out and put on paper. Wish I was like that, I usually just rant like a moron:)
