NO 19
from dawgpost
Quintavious Harrow picked up an offer from Georgia last week and before visiting them officially this weekend he committed to them.

"Quintavious Harrow has committed to Georgia," Carver Head Coach Dell McGee told Scout Wednesday afternoon.
Harrow is pushing 6-feet tall and weighing right around 185 pounds right now and he was offered by Georgia as more of an athlete, but will likely end up in the secondary and on special teams.

"He really was great on special teams for us at Carver and I think he will help Georgia in the defensive backfield and on special teams. He has a lot of speed, he plays very fast, and he blitzed off the edge well for us also."

The player himself agrees with that.

"I plan to go up to Georgia and play safety and do whatever I can to help them on special teams," Harrow said. "I just love Georgia, so I will do whatever the coaches ask me to."

The coaches from Georgia were happy this afternoon when they received the call from Harrow.

"I called Coach [Mark] Richt and told him I was ready to commit. He said, great and welcome to the family. It was exciting."

It was exciting to Harrow because he has been a fan of the Dawgs all of his life.

"I have wanted to be a Bulldog for a long time and I love the coaches, the players, and the atmosphere there. Georgia is just where I want to be and I know it is the place for me."

Now, he wants his teammate and relative Isaiah Crowell to join him.

"Oh yeah, I am going to try to get him there with me. We are visiting there this weekend and I will be talking to him about it."

The Carver athlete is commitment 19 for Georgia in 2011.

Could not agree more bulldawg36869. Truth be told on my part, thought he might fool all of us and select UF. This is a positive sign, maybe the in state folks will stay in state. These are the commitments that mean more than an individual staying home, it amounts to much more than that, has to do with focusing on which school better fits his talents. AM will put it between the numbers, and MM has the talent to make it work. I totally agree with you, AWESOME.

I have to feel that MM looked at all schools recruiting him and it came down to the quarterback. Just my opionion, but if I were Mitchell, UGA is perfect for his talents.

I am going to try and be a good boy :) hoping that we will open things up and use the talents that reside in Athens. The rest of the SEC is not waiting on us. :)
