We may be misunderstanding this change. I think what we are seeing here is McGarity installing the type of system that he knows from UF. That is, an administrator (Tereshinski) who sets the tone of the program (old-school hard-ass) and an assistant in charge of each major sport. We have not heard about the football assistant yet. I've heard some rumblings about a former Richt player taking that job (think hobnail boot).
It is reasonable to worry that Tereshinski might be out of touch with current methods or, as someone wrote in an earlier post, a part of the problem created by CDVH. The latter is simply not true. If he were going to continue the unsuccessful past program McGarity would never have let him be given the post. As to the former, remember that CJT has progressed in his media dept. from film to tape to digital - resistance to change is not one of his drawbacks.
What CJT is going to do is kick butt and take names.
