I'm with you, wlayton. While I'm ecstatic the S & C problem was addressed and handled, I'm still hoping maybe this is a temporary fix ('til after the bowl game)and a permanent solution will be named later.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

My only questions is, if this is temporary, then why now? just make one move after the season is over, not one now and another later.

Think they had to do this in order to make room for another coach - perhaps they did it to show someone that they have made necessary moves in order to "get" the guy they want - guess we won't know till after the bowl games

Interesting comment from Pollack

Pollack says:
I don’t think there’s anyone that ever pushed me harder than Coach T. Just old school, hard work, you’re going to do things the hard way. He’s just got that really passionate, fiery, he’s gonna let you know if you’re not doing it his way. It’s different.

We may be misunderstanding this change. I think what we are seeing here is McGarity installing the type of system that he knows from UF. That is, an administrator (Tereshinski) who sets the tone of the program (old-school hard-ass) and an assistant in charge of each major sport. We have not heard about the football assistant yet. I've heard some rumblings about a former Richt player taking that job (think hobnail boot).
It is reasonable to worry that Tereshinski might be out of touch with current methods or, as someone wrote in an earlier post, a part of the problem created by CDVH. The latter is simply not true. If he were going to continue the unsuccessful past program McGarity would never have let him be given the post. As to the former, remember that CJT has progressed in his media dept. from film to tape to digital - resistance to change is not one of his drawbacks.
What CJT is going to do is kick butt and take names.
Relax guys, your gonna love these changes.
Your really gonna love McGarity.

At this point I am putting my money on our AD's approach to everything football. He is one of us and comes from a successful tour in Florida. It is not like he did not learn anything while working for the enemy. Change came quickly to our S&C program and appears to me that it is being handled right. We can only speculate, Mc is at the wheel.
