I like Todd Grantham less and less every game

Defense wins championships, but defenses are built. And players (and employees) take their cues from their leadership and UGA has Ghandi leading the football program. UGA will never have an Erk type intense defense with Richt as head coach.

That being said the defense has made considerable progress and tackles and hits and swarms to the ball far better than any in the last 6 years. That much is plain to see by even a casual observer.

I am with you in wanting an aggressive attacking defense. I have been saying that for years. Grantham can provided that with the right pieces. The defense has been considerably better this year.

This year the D has allowed 279 points.

Last year with the bowl game it allowed 337.

In points allowed the defense has made some progress. In terms of tackling and getting after people it has made considerable progress.

kd, you are exact in your assessments, imo. CTG has 2 more years in my book.....should see if he's the man by then.

Plus the turnovers have more than doubled last years......excellent, meaningful, stat.
