Yet again the surface is only scratched. Grantham gets a pass, new coach, new defense, old players, Willie's recruits...while we are again treated to another 4 quarter dose of vanilla O....But behold,...Bobo/CMR have seen the light and are back to putting big numbers on the board...all is well in Athens!!!...

We rationalize and generalize a moral victory to the lizards and come out swinging for the fences against the tigerwareagleplainsmen, only to exhaust ourselves before the end...Has anyone considered the possibility that the Urban Cryer and Sleezy Chizik, as well as just about every other coach on our schedule, knew our weaknesses and exploited them? How is it that some can find a silver lining to ANOTHER defeat in Jax, only to have the LameCocks demean and belittle Urban's new fangled offense a week later? I've said it before and I will say it again...We can opt for the path already taken and relive the Willie nightmare, or realize that Willie, Jancek, Fabris, Calloway, Garner, Searels, Van Halenger and Grantham are mere symptoms of a terminal problem.

Talent has NEVER been a problem for UGA, or the great State of Georgia. Look at the rosters of other teams and you will find many from our state. While it pains me to admit, we've a growing problem with closing our boarders....wonder why???...Who among the long time posters here recall the conversations we had following CMR's hire and his PROMISE to close our boarders??? Anyone else happen to hear that much coveted recruit Cromwell wore Bama colors to the UGA/AU game???...There goes another home grown option across the stateline. This, like much of everything else discussed about this pathetic season falls directly on CMR's threshold!

I've read all the sunny sky analysis I can stomach, so here is what I believe will happen next year and beyond...Richt stays and like his Willie defense, CMR will rally for Bobo, who will likewise stay. We are likely NOT to see any changes whatsoever in coaching. Should we get fortunate enough to beat Tech, who actually sux much worse than we do, we will probably get an invite to some pathetic, mid-December Bowl...maybe...perhaps beat and equally pathetic mid-tier wannabe program and end the season feeling good and ahhh-shucks about what might have been...Another heaping helping of WOULDA, COULDA, SHOULDA!...Thank you sir, may I have another??? Green, Houston, Boykin and a few others will announce their NFL desires and quickly depart Athens for the money train, we will recruit another top 20 class, but someone...probably Buc, Sadler or I will note the marked decline from top 5 to top 10 to top 20...ahh but happy sunny days are certain to ensue again...G-Day will fill us with spirit and hope...Murray will again display his beastiness, the summer drought...then REALITY strikes!!!...Another season replicated...and Deja vu all over again.....

This is Mark's program, not the assistant's and players we look to point fingers. Coach Richt has a hand in every aspect of this program from recruiting, play design, playcalling to time management. Somewhere after 2005, Mark lost his way...and we began the slow spiral. A few years ago, I was one of the pumpers, refusing to see what was plainly in front of my face. No more! When pure talent can't get you over the .500 benchmark, its time!...When was the last time you heard about mat drills???...It showed Saturday!!!...When our program can field a mature, talent rich team which struggles mightily, while the LameCocks rise above and surpass them...it's time! We have descended to and are engaged in accepting mediocrity and I for one cannot tolerate it! CMR will have 2 years remaining on his contract following the 2011 season. Perhaps by then the pathway chosen will be clearer? I certainly hope so, otherwise statements from Sleezy Chizik about UGA becoming significantly irrelavant for the next 4-6 years, may come true!

Early this morning I took a trip on the internet to the South Carolina site/sites. It starts to get disheartening to see the number of Georgia high schoolers that are heading or being heavily recruited to attend the school in Columbia. This is not going to be a one season deal either. SS thoroughly enjoyed returning to the Swamp and getting that monkey off of his back. He did that. SS smiling and remaining on the field after the game is something that I have never seen him do to that extent.

Brandon Shell has commited to South Carolina, and that is a solid sign. Appears more and more that Jadeveon Clowney is heading to the same team. That is not good news to other teams in the East side of the SEC. Began counting their offers for potential players from Georgia. Disgusting, does not appear that we have sealed our borders, not even close. I stopped counting at 25. Of course they won't get that many, however goes to show the sheer number of SEC caliber players that SS and his group want.

We had some problems with the high school that IC attends not that long ago. There was some apologizing and making up done, but . . . . Had not read or heard about IC wearing the Bama colors at the UGA/AU game. If IC gets away, especially after Richt courting him a couple of games back at IC's high school, that really damages our program in my opnion NC_Dawg.

Momentum is a big factor and it appears in places other than the football field. Winning football games always helps, maybe the leading factor in signing, other than how soon do I get to play.

My hope is that we come away with some serious athletes that want to play football, get a education and enjoy campus life without those damn arrests.

On the Rambo issue, I think it is just that, an issue. I try not to criticize players, but at some point my eyes don't lie to me. I also hope that some of what I saw in the Auburn game was Rambo trying to help "Tree" out, so he suffered a bit because of that. Concussions are not fun, worst feeling in the world when you come back to the real world.

We are losing a lot of players this year, probably a few to the NFL. Don't see where we have the replacements for some of these guys. Next year could easily turn out like this year, more losses than we can stand. Some of the teams that we have beaten, though narrowly in the past few years are getting stronger. They have momentum, at this point, we don't.

Glad that we have a QB with experience. I am starting to worry right now about how the offensive line is going to protect AM. Although, hard to protect a QB when you have an idiot such as Fairley (Fair my butt) and Commissioner Slive using the same play book.

Some have said that 2011 is the year, or 2012. Think that we will get closer to that answer after the recruiting is over.

Everyone in Athens connected with the football program need to dig deep and pay attention to detail, this I hope happens.

I have pretty much opted out of the coaching discussion. Everyone knows where I stand. I will, like all of us, see where we are after recruiting and the start of next season. I truly hope I am mistaken, and will be on here accepting it and eating crow if I am wrong, but like NC_Dawg, I fear we are going to see more of the same next year. But hey, I'll be here or in Athens cheering our Dawgs on every chance I get.

Sadler....ALWAYS support the team, regardless! One employee, or a group of them are only part of the institution. 12-0, 0-12, matters none as to whether I'll not cheer and hoist a bev or four!...Those young men deserve our support! Guess from here on I'll take a page from your learned book and hold my tongue...
