Tidbits of Information learned over the weekend.

And Richt lost to him anyway.
:)

Jim harbaugh could do it.
Chip Kelley could.

Kirby Smart?
Jon Gruden?

Chris Petersen?

I don't know. All I know is, UF has had three coaches while we have been stable with Richt. he couldn't beat ANY of them[/quote

Harbaugh is the one I wanted and mentioned a few weeks ago. Talk about fearless!!! He would lick his chops to play UF and kick UM's butt. He's agressive and not afraid to play anyone, that's why I would want him.

(he did actually beat 2 of the 3)

Yes, we did lose to them, but that is his signature win. Overall record is terrible.

Don't think we have a shot at Kelly or Harbaugh. Kelly would never leave. Why would he leave the No.1 team in the country? Harbaugh will be the next coach at UM

Smart? Maybe, but has not proven record as a Head Coach. Pretty much same criteria as Richt. NC coordinator.

Gruden? He will land another NFL job. But wouldn't mind seeing him on the sidelines.

Peterson??? Just don't know what to expect. Has a proven HC record, very proven, but so did Hawkins. Things change when you play more than 2 tough games a year.

I don't know who it will, or would be. I just saying that everyone must remember that it might not be the easy fix that many think.

Really evaluate it. UT fired Fulmer. Look at what they are going through. What was once a major player is in question if they will ever come back now. One UM fired Coker. Haven't even been close since then. Nebraska, fired Solich after 2 bad years. They have finally come out of the funk. Bama went through years of test driving coaches. Lucked up and got one of the best. That hire was a no brainer. Saban was already proven. There are no Saban's on the board right now.

Richt has done a great job with Murray whether or not anyone wants to admit it. The coaches have had something to do with this kid's success. He is difference maker like few I have seen this early in their career's. Like to think that Richt and Murray could do special things. Tebow and Meyer struggled their first year together when Tebow was the starter. Believe they lost 4 games, but look what ended up happening. Realize that Meyer had already one a NC and Richt hasn't.

My fear is that Richt will land another coaching job immediately. Many programs would jump on a man who's career winning percentage is over .700 in the SEC regardless of what his last 2 years have been. Murray choose Richt. Whose to say he wouldn't follow as well as a strong recruiting base that we have for next year. Just don't know.

Whatever is done, I will still cheer just as hard. I know everyone only wants what is best, and if that is a coaching change, then let's do it. I am just not sure what the answer is. I hope if we do make a change, we don't end up going through what a lot of schools are going through. Who would have thought UT would be so happy about a 7-6 year. Only to back it up with a possible 3-10 year with no apparent light at the end of the tunnel. Hope we make the right move.

I agree with you. Firing him is dangerous-but firing Bobo and the RB coach wouldn't be.

Just to throw a name out of someone we know can beat meyer and Richt in the same season with less talent: Dan Mullen???

What if dan Mullen came here, kept TG as DC for continuity, and allowed Murray to be the run threat, to go along with Crowell next year?

May be a decent fit since McGarity knows Mullen well.
Just playing pissed off fan here.:) :S   :cheer:

BulldogShannon, I definitely understand and relate to that.

I, by no means, am stating that I know exactly what should be done. We all wish we could see into the future. I have not a clue what should be done. If we keep Richt, changes must be made and accountability must be taken, BY HIM and only him.

Mullen, I wrote about a couple of weeks ago. If we were to fire Richt, that is who I would want. However, I don't think he would keep CTG. He has a guy named Manny Diaz who is a very good, up and coming, aggressive D coordinator. Personally, I would like to see CTG hang around though. Still believe the guy is going to be a great one.

All the Dawg Pound is in it together. Hopefully, we just get it right. I think we have all grown tired to losing to UF.

Alldawgs, 100% with you. I would like to see CTG stay. But if Dan Mullen wanted Diaz, that would be his choice. I remember Diaz being one of the "rumorsA' on this site for our DC job-heck, I even threw his name out.

At least Mullen plays to his strengths. He has big OL, but not too much skill positions, and he pounds the ball. They won at UF with NO pass plays in the 2nd half.

We have the best kicker in the nation, already in FG range in OT, and we throw a 33 yard pass that had to be 100 % PERFECT if we were to catch it in the endzone on first down. (He threw it from the 30, 3 yards deep).

Why not do simple option passes where Murray could get outside the pocket and have the option to throw to a read or tuck it and run?? That is being "conservative", that is knowing where you are on the field.

The worst case scenario should have been we have a 3 point lead, and UF is sending out a PUNTER to try and kick a 37 yard FG just to extend the game- MUCH more pressure than being in a tie game and having that kick.

First, a little backstory. Through my pastor, was able to meet a big donor to UGA who was at the game saturday sitting with the Pres. of the Bulldog Club in a major city in Florida. Also in near that group were two recruits , both of whom are 5 stars. I saw the photos taken with the players and the guy I met last night.

One is already a committment and the other one, is down to us and Florida, according to the "blogs." However, this particular player, from south Georgia, was with his dad, and they were cheering so hard for georgia. The father told my guy that his son is coming to Georgia.

Next, Crowell. Forget the Bama talk. He is just having fun playing to the crowd of media. he is coming to UGA. This through conversations from some big donors and some other recruits dads who were in attendance.

Now, here is what I found interesting. Wlayton had mentioned Whipple from Miami before. Here is what the Pres. of the Bulldog Club told my buddy: had Randy Shannon lost his job, and not been extended last season, he was GOING to be our new DC, and Whipple was set to come with him and be the new OC.

Finally, Bobo WILL be gone after this year.

Anyway, just some stuff I heard.

Btw, don't divulge the names of the 2 recruits, that was illegal.
