Tidbits of Information learned over the weekend.

Tidbits of Information learned over the weekend. was created by BulldogShannon
First, a little backstory. Through my pastor, was able to meet a big donor to UGA who was at the game saturday sitting with the Pres. of the Bulldog Club in a major city in Florida. Also in near that group were two recruits , both of whom are 5 stars. I saw the photos taken with the players and the guy I met last night.

One is already a committment and the other one, is down to us and Florida, according to the "blogs." However, this particular player, from south Georgia, was with his dad, and they were cheering so hard for georgia. The father told my guy that his son is coming to Georgia.

Next, Crowell. Forget the Bama talk. He is just having fun playing to the crowd of media. he is coming to UGA. This through conversations from some big donors and some other recruits dads who were in attendance.

Now, here is what I found interesting. Wlayton had mentioned Whipple from Miami before. Here is what the Pres. of the Bulldog Club told my buddy: had Randy Shannon lost his job, and not been extended last season, he was GOING to be our new DC, and Whipple was set to come with him and be the new OC.

Finally, Bobo WILL be gone after this year.

Anyway, just some stuff I heard.

Doesn't matter what recruits we get...as long as Richt is HC, those recruits are just wasting their opportunities. 2-8 against our biggest SEC rival. Outcoached AGAIN this weekend against the WORST UF team in years. But he's a good guy, and had a good record years ago, so we'll keep him. If somebody's bored look up our record since the 'bama debacle in '08. Hint: it ain't good.

Spot on sadler.

1. Bobo doesn't know situational football. You are in OT with momentum. You have an All American kicker, already in FG range. The other team has a punter having to be their kicker. Just roll Murray out in the OT and let him pick up 4-5 yards or option to dump off short passes. Worst case, UF's backup kicker should have had the pressure on him of having to kick a FG or go home a loser.

2. Richt quotes. he had no problems with the play call of two deep passes in OT. he said they don't even run their red zone offense until the 15 yard line. That explains a lot over the years.

I agree with the kicker vs. kicker scenario but don't feel we were out coached. CTG may have been but as a whole we weren't outcoached, AM cost us this game. I love the kid, believe he's going to be one of the best UGA has ever had, he almost WON the game for us as well......but in the end he made THE freshman mistake that cost us the game. Not going to beat UF with 4 turnovers.....those turnovers were NOT the coaches fault.....oh.....imo

Have to respectfully disagree a little there. Knowing the freshman was nervous and off a little, he basically takes two shots in three plays in OT that were dangerous passes. They should have had in roll out with an option to hit someone in stride or to keep it for 4-5 yard gain.

We were outcoached. End of game, tied. they are punting to us. Our punt returner drops the ball but luckliy he recovered. WHY WAS HE EVEN BACK THERE TO TAKE THE CHANCE ON THAT HAPPENING. Rush 11 to get a block, or just play for the fake. Don't have anyone within 20 yards of the ball.

wlayton, IMO, it was UF's D that was confusing AM and led to those turnovers. And that was because UF's coaches threw in things on O and D that we couldn't comprehend. I know, I know, they had the week off, but still, you can't re-invent the wheel in a week. But you can tweek some things that, if you are a great coach going up against a coach who is a clueless buffoon, then you can take the team that is worse by far, (in fact the worst team he's had there, and probably worse than any he had at Utah), and still win the game over a team with obvious far superior talent.
