Their DL is dominating. I have not seen their secondary play a solid game yet. It has to be a slash and dash scheme in order to attack the secondary before the DL can get pressure. One, two, three and throw. Out of bounds or downfield. Kurt Warner football.

I will not be surprised if Spurrier wins. He loves calling that kind of game.

Garcia is no Mallet and Bama's D has gotten better each week. Agree that SOS will have a good plan of attack....just don't believe it will matter. It is big though that USC had a week off to prepare and Bama could be a little tired.

You don't need a great QB. You need a smart QB who loves to study film. Their coverage 15 yards downfield is terrible. If you can land the ball in a dumpster from 10 yards then you have all the accuracy needed. Just keep hitting them for 12 yards, 12 yards, 12 yards. This is the distance where your recievers are open but their DL can't yet reach the QB. As soon as they drop the linebackers to help with coverage the QB calls an audible and slashes them. But you must never stop attacking. The instant you try to plat it safe then you start punting and they start scoring. You absolutely must force their offense to think that it is a track meet. This is where they make the most mistakes and keep the job easy for your defense.

You actually think you are going to out smart Saban? he's a genious on defense.....probably THE BEST at making adjustments on the run. If you believe you can then you need to apply at Univ. of Georgia, Butts-Mehre building, Athens Georgia.

its not about Saban. It's about the speed, talent, and experience of his players. Bama's secondary can not single cover any reciever who would grade "B" or higher. Saban can genius all he wants but if you relentlessly attack the outer edges of his secondary with fast plays then all of his blitzes and DL strength doesn't matter. Last time I checked, Bama is only allowed 11 players like the rest of us. You play 4-5 wideout fast break football and he just doesn't have the personnel to defend it. But ... you need a smart QB who is willing to take the easy pass or throw it into the bleachers. A guy who starts running around will be bruised up pretty bad.

First they will need to get on the field. Bama can and will control the clock if necessary.

SOS needs to talk with you......sounds fool proof.

Bama offense focuses on clock not scoreboard. They do not score on every possession and do not expect to. It is not what they are trained to do. They are trained to control the clock. It allows their large, heavy defensive players to have sufficient rest. Big players have greater strength but lower stamina. That is the heart of Saban's game. He stacks the box with defensive strength and uses his offense to control the stamina. A successful fast break offense by your team will force his offense to score. Bama can not win in a shootout. Neither their offense nor their defense is built to play in that kind of game. Which - is why their poor secondary is so hugely significant. It is an open wound that leads directly to the heart of Saban's team. I say stab it. Stab it early, stab it often, stab it relentlessly.

So, you are telling me that Bama isn't the #1 team in the country?

Tell me you are kidding. They would punch Oregon in the mouth and make them look like fools.
Does the Sugar Bowl ring a bell to you when we played Hawaii and their 5 WR's, spread offense, speed, speed, speed.....no way can we keep up with all that speed etc? We kick their ever lovin' tails and shut them down. If WM can do it Nick Saban surely can do it.
