As it stands now: rest of season predictions

Tennessee 20, Georgia 17. Tied at 17 at the end of 4 quarters but Tennessee kicks the winninging field goal in overtime to give coach Dooley his first SEC win.

Vanderbilt 21, Georgia 24: Blair Walsh kicks winning field goal as time expires.

Florida 45, Georgia 20: No explanation reallly needed. Especially sucks losing to Florida when they are in a down year too, but our down year is worse than theirs is.

Kentucky 28 Georgia 24: Another heartbreaker resembling the Arkansas game where their QB throws a late TD to ice a game we should have had a chance in.

Idaho State 21 Georgia 45: Feel good therapy day for the dawgs as they pound a little bitty school that noone cares about senseless, but Grantham's 3-4 still gives up 3 scores to the little guys because our D just plain sucks.

Auburn 35, Georgia 17: Auburn confirms what everybody else knows to be true by now and beats us soundly by playing solid, fundamental football on offense, special teams, and defense.

Georgia Tech 25 Dawgs 24: Dawgs lose a heartbreaker in another thrilling edition of COFH. These two teams are both having years that are so far below what their expectations were at the beginning of the season, that this game is probably over who isn't the worst team in the south? Tech will have more to lose here as they'll probably have about 5 losses going in and will be looking to avoid a losing season or make it to some sorry bowl game in the middle of nowhere, while our fate is pretty much sured up. Paul Johnson did it once and he can do it again.

Ordinarily, I'd say the Dawgs would be motivated to help try save CMR's job and send the fans out with a win, but there is no doubt in my mind that this crew just doesn't think that deep or care about subtleties like that. These players just don't give a damn about anything, and are probably glad the season is a throwaway because the less time they have to spend bothering with things like preparing for a bowl game and taking every opponent seriously, the more time they have for their other priorities like drinking, partying, bringing a different girl back to their room each night, and getting arrested because they wouldn't take said girl's no for an answer and then drove her home when they were finished with alcohol on their breath.

Final Record: 3-9
Bowl Game: None
State Championship: Nope
Clarke County Rec Department Championship at Sandy Creek Park Featuring the Glee Clubs from Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central High Schools in a flag football tournament to raise awareness for getting your pet spayed and neutered: Forfeited. Got lost because coach made the mistake of entusting the map to players he mistakenly assumed could read.

Agree chemdawg

except we finish 2-10

lose to vandy - they can play - they beat ole miss - we're not that good

the scores will not be as close - we will lose big

I know that CTG and company are wondering WHERE did we get these mambie pambie players - would not surprise me if he left - suspect CMR has talked to him about his language - guess he's not as considerate of the players feelings as CMR is

have not seen this kind of ampathy since the last of CVD reign or CRG time

when does basketball start

I agree RD, I think we beat Idaho, maybe the North ave nerds cause they have no D either and our guys may want to win that one based on emotion. but I dont think we beat Vandy either. And that is really sad. I never thought we would be talking about wether or not we can beat Vandy.

Agree OSD

it's a sad day when we don't think we can beat vandy - and we have lost to them before when we should not have - just poor preperation

I hate to say this - but think the only way we can change this is CMR needs to leave or we need to move down to division 2 - he's just too soft

go dawgs

That is the whole point, and for the life of me I can not understand the lack of concern of CMR. When if ever has UGA said if we can beat Vandy or KY. It is a crying shame that our head coach makes excusses and still to this day finds something good to say about each loss. He will not say we are no good, just that we are family, we will not point fingers and we will stick together, watch film and try to correct mistakes.

There is something so wrong with this program, and it is not the losing, it is the attitude of the players, the lack of effort, and the desire to win. I know we had off years before, but I don't remenber players giving suck a lack of effort before. I mean teams used to hate playing UGA because we hit so hard and we fought so hard, and even in a loss, the other teams used to say that UGA was the hardest hitting team we played and the most physical. Over the past 5 years, teams are no longer scared to play UGA or at least dread the physical contact.
We are the cream puffs now, even Vandy hits harder than we do.

Just saying, something is wrong in Athens no only with the lack of player developement, but with the coaches as well.
