I have given up predicting anything from now on. No telling which team will show tomorrow evening. My hopes are that the team that played for the start of the 4th quarter against the hogs is in Boulder all night.

I'm turning to divine intervention and praying for a big fat "W". I don't want to be making the trip to Athens for the ugly orange game next weekend stewing over another loss.

MR gets another year after this one IMO. I want changes just like everyone else, but am apprehensive of changing the man in charge just yet. Living in TN I see the debaucle UT has become after firing Fat Phil. Gotta be careful what you wish for sometimes. A swift change in head coach can set a program back another two to three years in recruiting and performance. MB must go. MR needs to have a solid OC on board if he insists on maintaining that CEO type role. He needs to follow Belichik's mantra of, "I cannot do my job if I am doing yours". Obvious need for MR to step in and do Bozo's job right now which is why he must go.

CMR isn't going anywhere. If UGA fires him, they will have to pay his WHOLE contract.....unbelievable buyout clause. Besides, CMR still has his ace-in-the-hole for another year or two with Bobo. He will replace him with a new OC and that will also buy him another 1-2 years.

As much as I would love to see a change made, I agree with wlayton (and a few others) who say it won't be next year.
Many people are hopeful that Richt can turn the program around, but I just don't see it. And what is "turning around" if we go, say, even 6-6 this year? Would 7-6 next year be a turnaround? 8-5? I want us to get back to the possibility of 11-2 seasons regularly, when 10-3 is a disappointment.
The perception of many seems to have changed over the years, seemingly indicating the decline. How many would be ecstatic with 10-3 this year? I'd dare say every fan in Dawg Nation. Who was happy with it in '08? Very few. Just my opinion that the program is going south based on that.
But still, even with my thoughts on the inability of Richt to turn it around, I still agree the powers that be will give him at least next year and probably '12.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

I'm willing (for now) for CMR to stay as long as he replaces Bobo and gets an innovative OC on staff. What do you think about Mark Whipple at UM? You live down that way and probably hear a lot about him. I personally think he calls a great game......much variety, aggressive and fearless. Certainly lets his QB PLAY with no handcuffs on him. I've seen his play calling pick teams apart.

wlayton, I think that he is one of the very best coaches in football. If he were to leave Miami, folks would not be happy. Without saying too much here, I have listed a site below that pretty much tells the story about MW. Like those initials. Not crazy about MB initials.

Do think that when Bill Cowher comes back to coaching, Coach Whipple will be the first one to get a call.

Your suggestion as a replacement is the best that I have read anywhere.
