KD, I to understand where you are coming from, but me like some of the others do not believe this is a one man team. I get what you are saying about double coverage ect, but man what are we going to do next year and the next. Are you saying we will not win without AJ. I like some of the others wish AJ would have been kicked off the team, then lets see where we go from there. He is selfish and I don't want him coming back and us starting to win and him get the big head and say see you can't win without me.

No I am not saying we will not win without AJ Green. I am saying that given the parameters of THIS team right now it is far harder to win without AJ Green.
Each years team is different. Next year could bring a stud RB from Columbus or some other place that dictates what defenses do and then our WRs look great. There are many variables.
This is not a one man team, but like any other team in America if you remove the very best player the team will struggle to over come. There are hundreds of teams in college football and the talent gets spread more thinly each year. There are very few (actually just Green) AJ Green type players in the country.
Yep.....same dynamic could happen at RB if we get Crowell for next year.

And teams with both a great RB and a great WR usually win lots of games. Alabama again is a good example. Though Julio Jones is a draft horse when compared to AJ Green he is a good player. And Alabama has two great backs. Defenses have a hard time figuring out who to focus on.
The other side of the coin is Arkansas from 2007 with McFadden and Jones. They have two stud RBs but little of substance through the air so every defense stacked the box.
Now Arkansas has Childs, Adams and Williams as a pretty good group of receivers and the running backs are mediocre.

i'm starting to worry a little about getting crowell. he goes to alabama last week and watches richardson run for more yards than our entire team did this week
On the positive side........he knows he can start next year at UGA.

Agree wlayton - I think he knows that richardson will mean read shirt for him and seeing that 3rd string guy lacy run means maybe even more time on the bench - he knows that if he comes to UGA he will start next year - he likes UGA - but we have got to close the deal to get him - he could still have his choice of lots of good schools if we can't close the deal - my concern is that we seem to have been so focused on qb's that we forget about rb's - you need both to have a succesfull program - and I'm concerned about the impact cuz bozo's pitiful game plans will have on crowell - oh well with any hope maybe cuz bozo will be GONE
