Predictions for 2010 season

Hey Fellas,

Been awhile, but it is that time of year again. I hope everyone is doing well. 11-2 would be a great turn around season. Personally, I see no reason they can't have that type of year. If you look at teams that have been successful that last couple of years, it starts with the O-line. Take Alabama from last year. First year QB, solid running backs, and a great O-line. That sounds a lot like the Dawgs.

It will be interesting to see how the D adjust to Grantham's scheme. From what i have been hearing, the first unit is buying in and flying around.

I predict 11-2 possibly 10-3, 12-1. With the exception of last year, dawgs seem to have great years when they are under the radar.

I agree with everyone. I want to see a team that doesn't constantly shoot themselves in the foot. A hard-hitting, discipline team that values the football.

Totally agree with everything you said with your Bama/UGA comparison with one exception.

Bama with "solid RB's"?? Uh, Heisman winner with a backup that might be even better. Their two RB's dwarf our two.....imo......but certainly get your point. :side:

Agree, there rb's are extremely impressive. I also agree about the Richardson kid. He might be the more talented runner of the 2. They are incredible. At the same time, I saw the Ealey and King look better than average at times last year. The performance against GT was one of the better tandem performances that I have seen in a while for us. I may sound a little crazy, but I think our O-line is going to be better than the O-line that Bama had last year. Just have to keep the big guys healthy.

wlayton, I've been hearing a rumor that USC-lame kiffin's group, wants to play us in the Kickoff Classic. Not sure if there is any truth to that, just seeing if you have heard anything.

Haven't heard anything but will email my "in the know" guy to see if he has. Our OL is so deep that we moved Anderson to de D side of the ball. Looks good to me as well.

I think Washaun and Caleb are going to "come out of nowhere" for the national media this season. Last year, Caleb FINALLY looked like the RB we recruited out of high school, and Washaun showed flashes of brilliance that make me think he'll be able to achieve heights of which Danny Ware and Kregg Lumpkin were capable, but never quite got to. Simply put, Washaun doesn't remind me of who Knowshon was, he reminds me of who Danny Ware should have been.

I'll go ahead and say it: I think we have the best running tandem in the SEC. NOT 'Bama. I think that if CMR and CMB realize that, then we have a shot at both Florida and 'Bama.

To paraphrase,

WE RUN THIS CONFERENCE!

My "guy" said:
He wanted to play Tennessee first. They said no. He then said UGA. UGA already has their schedule set and said no as well. I think he wants to do it for recruiting purposes in Atlanta. However, I don’t think it’s going to happen.

dapolla......really?? If you had to start a team and pick 2 RB's, you are telling me you would pick King and Ealey over Ingram, the Heisman winner, and Richardson??? Really??

You would certainly be in the minority.....BUT, I obviously hope you are right. I believe King and Ealey would be 3rd and 4th string at Bama. :S
