One Dawg's Take . . .

Buc, GREAT post! There are some people who thrive on all of the negative talk. I also think that this D could possibly be lights out this year. I also can not wait to see this offensive line step up to the plate. The last time we had this much experience on the offensive line was when David Green and Musa Smith was behind them and the D had had a pretty bad attitude. Those years went pretty well for us. I realize that we have a new defensive scheme, but I can sense the d having alot of attitude. I know AM is young, but so was DG. These running backs are probably going to be better than MS when you look at the complete package. This offensive line has plenty of experience. All in all I think we are going to have a great fall in Athens. < No disrespect to Musa. I am just trying to be positive.>

This is the year we shake the malaise.

I'll tell you something, nothing got me fired up for this season as much as Coach Richt's comments about the defense at SEC Media Days. We all know that CMR is about as animated as a block of wood at these things, but what he was saying affected me dynamically. The energy in practice that he spoke of, his candor in talking about the mistakes of last year and years past, his enthusiasm and the enthusiasm he conveyed on the part of the players for the 3-4...good God, folks, am I the only one who CANNOT WAIT? I don't give a damn how much we score on UL-Lafayette, but I DO want our new-n-improved D to hold them scoreless.

That's right, I said shutout. They're ULL. We don't have to show Spurrier anything on offense, but I want Stephen Garcia afraid to come off the bench after we score in Columbia. Shutout.

Agree - the mild mattered CMR can hardly control himself - he already knows what's going to happen - we will not recognize the style of play at first - but we will soon come to realize that them new DAWGS might do something big on every play be it offense or defense

Agree DawgnLa - a BIG change is discipline - think CTG's style will change everyone’s approach to the players and the game

OSD - don't think you need to worry - think we will have the players (at least 3 that can play nose) - recent articles from CTG have said that he will be moving folks around and doing a lot of substituting - because if your playing CTG's style (attack attack attack) you will need a break - he expects a lot from each player and if you can't measure up to CTG's grade - you will not be playing much if at all

Agree Dapolla - SHUT OUTS - If they don't score - you can't loose the game - Let it all hang out from the beginning - after we massacre those cajin's all spurrier and others will have to say is WHO LET THEM DAWGS OUT

agree BigD3 - we have a very good O line - Murry and company will do just fine - they'll make a mistake or 2 but they will get better and better
