It wasnt just knocking him unconscious, it was beating the guy after he was on the ground and apparently he wasnt even involved in the fight, just trying to break it up. This is why I am starting to hate sports in general, too many spoiled wanna be men acting like spoiled little kids.

Yeah I just read this too, I am wondering if Dooley will have the stones like Richt did and throw a promising star off the team?
Somehow I seriously doubt it, but the brawl and the resisting assault on an officer seems to be a pretty serious offense for someone representing your school.
Yo ugaa - it'll be interesting to see if knocking out a off duty police officer will render you off a team like roughing up and groping a female will
Guess if they get him for assault and battery they might - we'll see
I know Rambo will be dissappointed if he's kicked off - think he was looking forward to giving him one of those slobberknocking hits

Agree ugaa
Don't know what has happened to these guys - they get a paid for opportunity to get and education and maybe become a sports pro and they just throw it all away doing something stupid
I wonder if all the stuff the pros do and get away with - maybe that's why they think - I'm an a sports guy - I can do anything and will not be punished

Pretty soon the game will be played with a bunch of "choir boys". Everybody else will either be in jail, kicked out of school or both.

From ajc
No school holds the patent on good behavior. No school can ever be inoculated against the misjudgments of young athletes, or even 40-year-old ADs. I understand why Georgia fans find Rogers’ arrest amusing, but I’ve also been around long enough to caution against irrational exuberance.
There’s always another arrest waiting to happen in a college town, and that town could well be yours. Bradley’s Rule: Tempt not the football gods by busting a gut laughing, lest tomorrow ye weep bitter tears.
This is true - in fact several other schools had some arrest this week also - we've had our share - still couldn't help but enjoy the news

I do not take particular joy at the arrest of Rogers. I am just glad for him he already has his prison orange wardrobe coordinated.
