Okay, this really IS the last metric. The 1980-83 Dawgs' wins-versus-losses ratio would be even higher, because Lastinger's Herschel-free Dawgs tied Clemson in 1983. That's 43 wins to 4 losses, or a whopping 0.915 wins-to-losses ratio. It's fair to take the tie out because in the 2006-2009 period that the Gators \"set the record,\" there was no capacity for a tie; ties are now settled by overtime, which didn't exist in 1983 for college football. And if LSU can justify their two OT losses in 2007 by saying \"Well, basically, that was two ties,\" then we can remove the '83 Clemson game from our \"non-wins\" column, since it's neither a win nor a loss. If you do it like hockey, where a tie counts for half a win and half a loss (which used to be how they did it in college football, too), the Dawgs had 43.5 wins to 4.5 losses. That's a 90.6% win rate.
I also forgot to mention that the 2006-09 Gators won three bowl games to UGA's two during the Herschel-Lastinger years. Sorry bout that, GatorinGA.
