A real headscratcher...

I see this thing both ways here. For one, CMR certainly has lost some credibility as \"CEO\" over the past two years concerning those who work around him. But at the same time he has brought this program a long ways from where he picked it up at. He deserves some leeway with this hire. I will trust him to do what is best. With his bff gone, hopefully his head is clear, he is a little more on the pissy side and wants to prove all naysayers wrong and bring this defense back to junkyard status.

Hello again, guys. Been gone for a while, but I'm back. Two points I'd like to make that I am sure have been discussed. 1. I would love to see more of the \"pissy\" side of CMR in the future. I have steadily seen the edge we played with in the past disappear the last few years. 2. I think we ARE being outbid for these guys. Evans has stated that UGA would open the wallet to get the right person in. Word to Evans. \"YOU NEED TO OPEN UP A LITTLE MORE AND DIG A LITTLE DEEPER, FOR THE SAKE OF OUR FOOTBALL PROGRAM\", which is the cash cow of the department the allows you to have your job! Lose out to the Zooker? C'MON, MAN! JMO:woohoo:

watson, glad to see you back.

Some of your post has been presented, never hurts to hear it again. Think that means we are on the same level of thought.

At this point . . . . pass me a pint of (rhymes with sis).

savannahdawg, Coach Richt certainly did turn UGA around, appreciate it. I do fail to see where it says in his contract that turning the program around and then returning to prior depths is acceptable. Too many athletes on the UGA campus for the program to post a record like this years.

Personally, don't think for a minute that all of this falls on Coach Richt. UGA supporters have a reason for concern, we have gone through many trials and tribulations over the years. Coach Richt proved to us that he has the ability, also proved it to FSU. Don't stop now, lets keep moving the program forward, still looking for that NC.

AD Evans better live up to his media hype on going hard for competent help. Empty seats don't put money in the UGA coffers. Nothing in his contract I would suspect protects him from walking the gang plank. Certainly hope that Evans and Adams don't have the same relationship that CMR and WM had.

No need to fire everyone, just saying they need to show competence in their high paying positions at UGA. There will always be someone out there that would love to move into UGA management.

Go Dawgs!

I'd like to see one concrete report that says we actually made an offer to Koennig. So far it's just innuendo. Until then, let's just wait.

After all, do we REALLY want Vic Koennig on this board, or do we just want to have had more money on the table than Illinois?

From David Hales Column:

On the Koenning rumors: \"I think everything is just -- this whole search stuff, I'll just say I've got nothing to shed on it.\"

And he added he would let whatever Koenning has to say at his scheduled press conference (2 p.m. Eastern) stand for itself.
