I am going to go out on a limb here, just have this feeling. Would not be surprised if Coach Richt stands by his choices for coordinators and coaches and lets the chips fall where they may. I just have this feeling that pride could be creeping in on this situation, and there are not going to be too many avenues of relief. This could be the UGA story ending for someone that has given much to the University of Georgia and appreciated by many.

Can you imagine the press and bloggers reacting to the UGA coaching staff if certain coaches are here next year. Hard for me to get a foot hold. This program cannot afford to slip any further, and quite frankly I have reservations about next year already.

Buc, I agree that I think both coordinators are staying and I think next year is going to be an even bigger disaster than this year. Aside from the obvious that we'll be breaking in a new QB, basically breaking in a new RB since we're 2/3 of the way through the season and still don't have a consistent starting back, we'll still have the same outdated, moronic offensive and defensive schemes, and we also have to accept that some of our commits may waver before signing day. 2010 is just starting to look like a recipe for disaster to me. I hope I'm wrong, and I'll still be here posting, and at Sanford or in front of the tv cheering, but I probably won't be as fired up doing it as I was a couple of years ago.

sadlerdawg, when WM came to Central Florida a week or two ago, anyway just prior to the humiliating game in Jax, UGA football was trying to keep one of their recruited DB's from jumping ship. The recruit wanted to be sure that WM was going to be the Coach when he arrived on campus. Appears to me that deal was made. Know that you are aware of that.

I go along with what wlayton said about the situation, if that is the case, forget about that particular recruit. Where does it say that the recruits determine the coaching staff?

In the recent past we have had serious problems with young players getting into trouble on and off campus. Some of the problems were more than \"minor\". Just have a feeling (again) that when the cat is away, some of the mice tend to play. Like it or not, if the players do these things, then they are not afraid of the consequences.

Maybe a little bit like what UF is going through right now. Not a lot of consequences for a player whose face is known throughout the sports world. There has to be discipline, but that does not mean not having a great 4 years or so at the University of Georgia. I agree with \"stupid is as stupid does.\" Quite frankly, been there done that, look back and wonder what in the world was I thinking.

Not only have the wheels come off the car, it's up on blocks, in the front yard, for everyone to see.
What annoys me the most is Coach Richt's assurance that all is well. I admire him as a human being but the spark is gone.
The program needs a complete transfusion.
We are on life support.

I hear rumors, with Coach Mickey Andrews saying hes done after the season, that Kirby Smart is #1 on the radar at FSU! If we want that to happen we best jump all over that man NOW!!!!

I think we are all upset from the \"way\" we have been playing. Now as much about the record this year (although disappointing too). Without beating a dead horse, we have been playing and losing VERY UGLY.....to the point of embarrassment.....and it IS embarrassing. To me, that's a reflection of the staff and how the boys are being coached up.......

wlayton, the worst feeling I had after a game this year was after we beat South Carolina. It's not even the way we're playing in the losses that bothers me, it's the way we've played in wins! We played a GREAT game in losing to LSU, and a TERRIBLE game in beating SCarolina. The game against Arizona State was on par with the game against OSU. You mean our only complete game was against a Vanderbilt team that lost to Army?

...yeah, I know I've been gone for a while...it's by design, believe me. You don't WANT to know the things I've been thinking...
