UGA Athletic Director

15 years 3 weeks ago #25141 by Bigbrowndawg
UGA Athletic Director was created by Bigbrowndawg
When VD was still AD for UGA, President Michael Adams wanted a change. Now we have his choice of AD and Head Coach. Is this the great change he invisioned? Has our athletic program reached the greatness he invisioned? HCMR is a good man, a loyal man and that is a preferable trait, but has he still got the desire to lead? Is mediocrity acceptable to him? If not, time too step up and say out loud, the program in it's current state stinks and \"I\" intend to correct it. Let the coordinators and position coachs feel your wrath, let them feel the edge of your anger. Let the players know that UGA football requires players with skill but more with guts and determination to win. Mediocrity is not acceptable at UGA now or has it ever been? :side: GO DAWGS!!

There was an atrice this morning in the Augusta Chronicle talking about CMR. It stated that while he understood the concern of the fans, we must look at what he has done since he has been here. He stated that he brought us 2 SEC titles, and 7 10 win seasons. He stated that he is not going to make changes, for if he make changes, that is like telling these young men that he is quiting. He has preached to every team to finish the drill and do not quit. There was also a quote from Bobby Bowen stating that he was not sure if CMR was tuff enough to be a head coach. It just pains me that CMR can not see that the program has declined over the last 3 years and it is getting worse. He really thinks that we will turn thing around starting this week and win out go to a bowl and everything will be alright.

I mean loyalty to your staff only goes so far, and that goes with the seniors, if they do not perform, then they need to be replaced. The reported used the logic as if you are a CEO of a company and if you have employees that do not perform, you replace them or write the up put them on probation ect.

Just thought I'd share the latest do nothing news to everyone, I sure hope we don't get embarressed by this 5-3 Tenn tech team, but them again maybe something will get done then.

If we lose to a TT then forget worrying about the coaching situation.......you need to drop the program. KSU beat them 49-7.

I watched the interview last night. I am as frustrated as anyone else. I mean last year was a disappointment as well as this year, but at the same time, what did we expect, to win a NC this year. Maybe it is a little bit our fault for having unrealistic expectations. Hard to argue with Richt though as far as stats the man has won alot of games. I agree something has to be done on the defensive side of the ball, but I do not doubt CMR. Watch the interview. One thing I don't get, is why does it seem like everyone wants to see him throw some sort of tantrum to show us he cares. I don't think for a minute that the man enjoys losing. I like the integrity and I believe he probably gets a little fired up behind closed doors. Which in business 101, is the proper thing to do. You don't publicly rip an employ, and if you do, your considered unprofessional.

We let CMR go, We make a huge mistake. As for the qb situation, I would like to see the young guys like everyone else, but I will take coaches word cause he has attended more practices than I have this year.

We are fans. I like the different point of views and I do believe they are all good points. Just my personal take.

Go Dawgs.

I think we are all upset from the \"way\" we have been playing. Now as much about the record this year (although disappointing too). Without beating a dead horse, we have been playing and losing VERY UGLY.....to the point of embarrassment.....and it IS embarrassing. To me, that's a reflection of the staff and how the boys are being coached up.......

AllDawgs5, question about your post . . .

If you are in agreement that something needs to be done on the defensive side of the ball, when did you come to that conclusion. Was it two, three years ago or recently?

I ask this not as a smart butt, just curious if you have seen some of the things that many UGA supporters and others have regarding the coaching on the defensive side of the ball.
