I agree 100% Limey, I'm not excusing the Coaching, I feel the exact same way as everyone else...and that is CHANGE!! My point is that we have the talent but we are lacking drive and enthusiasm. Getting beaten over the head with criticism will not help with these issues or make morale any better, if anything, it will make morale worse! I get just as mad and frustrated and upset as any of you(my family will vouch for that) but I also have kids that are active in sports and when all they get is criticism, they start to believe the criticism and then comes lack confidence in their ability. Is this what we want? I'm also a firm believer in stepping up to the plate and not sugarcoating the facts. The facts are that we have a bunch of talented boys that are not playing to their potential. They need guidance, good coaching and especially support of the Dawg Nation!

As one who has played sports and coached kids, there is a huge difference between a kid playing Little League and an athlete playing SEC football. These kids are getting a free education from a great university. I shouldn't say kids. I should say young men.
I don't think the likes of Russell, Bryant and the other old school coaches worried about a player's feelings.
Man Up. It doesn't get any easier in the real world. You are the person you work hard to be.

Feelings are useless whether your using balls or bullets. Feelings will get you killed and let you down. Now \"Emotion\", i'll take an ounce of that over a pound of feelings anyday of the week. As for me and my kind, you can have your \"feelings\" and shove them up.....well you get the picture. My feelings are my family. My job is not my feelings. The sooner they figure out the world is a cold and exact place the better.
