Support our Dawgs!!

I have been sitting here reading all of the fussing, bickering, and frustration that is all over this site and the AJC and everywhere you can possibly read anything about the Dawgs and have realized what our players must be feeling. They are as low as can be and all of this is just making things worse. NOW is the time to put everything behind us and show them our SUPPORT!! How would you feel if you were in their shoes? You know that they have to feel defeated already. Don't kick a good DAWG while he's down. This is a call for all \"true\" Dawg fans everywhere to get behind our team and show our support for the players. I'm not saying that changes don't need to be made, but that we need to show our support of our beloved Dawgs! (and before anyone comments, NO, I am not a player, a coach or any type of relative, I am just a tru-blue DAWG!)

I bleed red and black as much as anybody.
I expect from this team what I expect from my kids.
I own a small business. I expect those who work for me to be competent.
We are not a competent team. You cannot sugarcoat incompetence.
You put on that red jersey with the expectation of excellence and 100% effort.
I did not see that Saturday. Sorry if anyone is offended.

averagedawg, I'm with ya, short and to the point.



For me, it's not about the kids. Love the kids and will ALWAYS pull for them on EVERY gameday. My support NEVER waivers for the players. But I WILL waiver about supporting the incompetence of the coaches that averagedawg speaks of.

My issue is also mainly with the coaching of the team. The coaching is sad and pathetic. Probably the worst I have seen in a while in what is supposed to be a top tier program. And if the players lay an egg like they did Saturday, they deserve to be called out. If it offends them, hopefully it will inspire them to perform better. If it upsets them, they shouldn't read the message boards.

Agree averagedawg. That's what's wrong with society in general. We all want to sugar coat incompetence.

I feel the players for the most part are putting in the effort. A small number of players just are not making plays happen (ie. Joe Cox), but that's where the coaches need to step in and make changes. Where's the change? THERE IS NO CHANGE. That's where I'm frustrated. It's the same old thing of getting worst. We should be getting better each week.

When a bootleg is run on your defense 4 times in a row for 15 yards or more each time, a change is required. When lower tier QBs are throwing for 300+ yards a game, a change is required.
When your QB throws balls everywhere except where it needs to be, a change is required. When your running game has been circling the drain for 3+ weeks in a row, a change is required. What's so darn hard about it?

the coaches, including CMR, should all be ashamed of themselves. The play calling is pathetic, the pass defense is pathetic and I'm not scared or ashamed to say it. WE EXPECT MORE. Failure to adjust is totally unacceptable.
