Ever since the powers at Bama gave Shula his walking papers; which I simply DO NOT understand, there have been swirling rumors of SOS to Bama. While I would be shocked if this actually occurred, it is nonetheless interesting that this article appeared.........

Is the old ball coach seizing the opportunity to bump up his $$$, or is there some real interest in Bama? Sorta reminds me of Donnan's courtship with UNC.... Time will tell!!!

I dont think SOS is gonna go to Bama....Too far from Agusta National. I remember the year UNC was supposedly courting Donnan, too. I wish they would have got him. If they had, we would have had CMR years earlier than we did, and probably would have had a couple of more SEC titles to boot !!

Man, ...I'm glad days like this are long over at UGA....

NC Dawg, my sources say that it is a done deal, that Spurrier has been talking to them on the sly all season long, but wasn't gonna go until they had a vacancy. Spurrier was also talked to by Miami over the holiday last week, and that was what promped Bama to act as fast as they did in firing Shula. According to my source, Spurrier is to get 4 mil a year, bring in his son as O-coordinator, bring in Brother Oliver as D-coordinator, and be given the AD job when Mal Moore retires.

I'm just not completely confident in the intel!!! IF this becomes reality, BAMA is selling their soul and their first born to pull this off. Can you imagine the whining and teeth grinding in Columbia!?!?!?!

From what i hear, 4 mil a year, and a 5 mil siging bonus....they ARE selling their souls and first-born kids !! Carolina couldn't possibly match this offer....could they??
