averagedawg, again I agree with you.

Urban is probably not too far away from Notre Dame. This hurts, but . . . . . successful coaches are always looking for another hurdle to jump. Spurrier had the college world by the tail, or close, but thought he could move on to the pros and work his magic. We all know how that worked out, and his return to South Carolina has been anything but what he thought it would be. Florida (Jeremy) told him that he was no longer needed to run the program in Gainesville.

Folks in Florida were calling for UF's head not hiring SS back. Thought that the end of football was near. If you have talent, and this is important . . . . COACHING TALENT, then your program will move forward. Talent such as Coach Searels.

In my humble opinion, again, with the talent that is on campus at UGA and we have a lot of on the football field talent, this group this year can excel. I hear a lot of noise coming out of Athens, I pray that it is for real and we get the effort that is needed to play to potential. Big year for the coaching staff, coach them UP!

Buc and averagedawg.....I believe UM will probably go to ND as well but he better be ready to have to recruit NATIONWIDE. Right now he's in recruiting Heaven and it is like picking apples from a tree. If he goes to ND, the recruiting trail will be brutal and will keep him away from home quite a bit unlike in G'ville, he can prop his feet up and sign recruits all day long.

The recruiting scenario is the only real draw back in my eyes for UM. He would actually HAVE to work if he makes THAT move.....ND has NO recruiting base in the neighborhood.

Good post wlayton. You are so right about the hot bed of recruiting located close to Gainesville. He can travel 3, 4, 5 hours in any direction and be on top of the action.

Biggest thing that he will carry with him when he goes to ND will be the fact that he has won the National Championship more than once. Tends to get the attention of the young recruits with the message that sends.

Looking forward to the gunfight at the ok corral (Jacksonville) this year. Think that there might be some surprises in store for UM. Caught him off guard year before last, maybe we set him back on his hills again. Take care of the schedule first. Big games loom prior to UF. :woohoo:

(whisper...) Hey Buc, I going to make a bold (probably stupid) prediction.

I love JC as much as anybody and want him to take us to the Promise Land but.......I predict that LG will be our QB for the Cocktail Party here in Jax if not BEFORE. I just see some things in that kid that leads me to believe he's a smart, saavy kid, great athlete, great instincts, has become a very good passer and has that \"it\" factor. His mobility, renewed throwing accuracy and his \"headiness\" believe will eventually beat out Joe. He has really impressed me since being able to ONLY concentrate on QB duties.

Ok.....I'm ready for the bashing!!!! (just stirring the pot a little):woohoo: :woohoo:

No bashing here . . . .

Logan Gray came to UGA with credentials. Talk around the football world is that there are only two QB's in the SEC. Do not think that QB will be the downfall of this team if there is one.

When Coach Richt was running the offense at FSU, you could count on him coming up with the \"unknown\". Hope to see more of that this year, and think that is what you are referring to.

I agree with many that Orson Charles is going to see a tremendous amount of playing time this year, maybe even starting. AJ and the rest of our receivers, which I believe we have several that will turn heads. Solid offensive line with Jones barking out the OL pickups, could get real exciting.

Dadgum, it is beginning to look like a football team . . . . :woohoo:

I believe OC will be a starter before the year is over as well. Also interested to see what Brown will do. Man, 2010 and 2011 WR corp will be, hands down, the best in the country. By then Murray will be throwing to them.....things look good to me this year but great the following two years.
