wlayton, I think our running game was hampered by the fact that Richard Samuel wasn't in the game. I've been saying since last year's G-Day game that, much like Thomas Brown emerged when Danny Ware and Kregg Lumpkin were supposed to be our stars, I really think that Richard Samuel is going to outshine Caleb King at the college level. CK looked in the G-Day game like a pretty effective third-down back (short yardage plus power), which is a great thing to have. I just think that the leg injury and the time off have unfortunately hampered this young man's playing ability. Running-wise, we'll be fine as long as we can open up holes for our boys. That's why we're Tailback U, wlayton.
Yeah, one positive thing for our running game is that they will arguably have the best and deepest OL they ever have had....barring injury. The backs should have some holes to run through. RS is very strong but very raw. He has a lot to learn. You can't just lower your head and expect to run over players at this level. He's very young though and WILL learn.
