I don't know that I have ever seen anything like that. I am watching the last leg of that race, and Calvin Smith is leading for UF. A shadow comes up on his right shoulder and blows by him into the lead and pulls away! CS is no slowpoke! This guy from GA BLOWS by him; I've never seen anything like that! Absolutely amazing!!! I am imagining myself in CS's mind saying, \"Wha, what, what's that?\" What in the _ _ was that??? What was it? That was his second 400 yd run of the day!!! Never senn anything like that; I am absolutely flabbergasted! I just find it hard to believe. It looked like Calvin Smith was shocked into mortification...

Catch a football? catch a football? If that guy even knows what a football looks like, I would hand it to him, pitch it to him, pass it to him, kick it to him, hike it to him, anything to let him get his hands on it and run with it. They probably don't make footballs that could withstand the atmospheric forces inherent in traveling at those kinds of velocities. I'm pretty sure that is why he could not be considered for playing football. Yeah, that would answer that question.
We need to remember that it's not just players and fans who are under pressure and stress during games. Footballs themselves must withstand a lot of physical forces. Being carried around and pounded by tremendous athletes truly tests the \"mettle\" of many a pigskin. But the notion that any football, Nike, Rawlings or even Wilson could endure and survive even one carry by this guy Torrin truly does border on the absurd...

Thanks Buc, awesome! DawgSpeare, both your post were HILARIOUS!!! I just found the clip of the relay and it was AMAZING! The crazy thing to me was that it didn't even look like Torrin Smith was running as hard as he could. Guess that's what makes him a SMOOTH sprinter as opposed to an all elbows and knees runner like myself. Another oddity I caught in the clip but ONLY if you watch it in slow motion...you can actually see TS doing the gator chomp as he blows past Calvin Smith!

I too think you nailed it! Pressure the QB and we'll be fine, if not, I DON'T EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT--UGGH!

Buc awesome post and I agree with the pressure from our CB's 100%. As well as prozack, both of you are reading what was placed into my mind just about every game this past season. That was BLAZING speed in the video, but I'd only put him in for a fly route to try and keep him from being killed. He's fast but not built for football and I'd hold my breath everytime he would go over the middle with the ball coming to him (unless he's all alone). As for AJg I believe were all expecting for the next level to come. In my opinion his main problem is scared of getting hit after making the catch. Perfect example is the MichSt game (if im not mistaken) where he went for a little extra yardage and then tensed up when about to be hit and fumbled the ball. Even with MS and KM gone, like others I'm still very optimistic about this season because of the change of culture that is happening with the team and everyones positive outlook. Last year was about 3 or 4 players when it should have been about the entire depth chart, thats what I'm looking forward to come opening day. Not even opening day, THE G-DAY GAME!!!!!!!

Leadership apparently was lacking last year born2bAdawg, means a lot to me when the players step up and say that \"they\" will take on the leadership roles. That is also why some coaches make the big bucks, not all, some.

Isn't this team starting to sound like the team that got behind DJ and won the SEC? I like how the team is coming together and is working as a team. Remember this time last year guys were getting arrested and so on. Well it's still early but no drama in Athens is good news! I do expect WM to get better production out of his defense and he has one game to prove it to me! If we hold OSU to 20 or less win or lose i will stay off his back till the next game. First time someone scores 30 or more I will be looking for his head again.
