As you will probably agree, searching the innermost parts of one’s being can be challenging as well as interesting. In today’s world, we tend to surface scratch. We are reluctant to confront the inward man, more I think because of the inconvenience of the endeavor than because of what we fear to discover there. Oh pleeze, just don’t bother me…this is our refrain…I shudder to think what will be said of me, at that day of discerning judgment.
1. Very good (not what I hope for, obviously)
2. Positives: I am reading of signs of greater team cohesiveness; sounds like the departure of MS, KM, AA, MM is leading to less emphasis on “stardom” and more on team chemistry, team potential, team production and team accomplishment (at least at this far-too-early-to-tell date). I read signs that individuals are working harder on the off season program. I read that upperclassmen are accepting their leadership responsibilities. Bye week for us before we confront “the Gainesville Reptiles”.
3. CWM
4. Yes it is possible our offense will be better. Far from certain; I would give us a 60-40 chance of being better. No proven superstars (although AJ approached that threshold last year), but improvement on the line (through maturity and experience and returns from injury). And it is very possible that JC will produce good numbers through more consistent play even though there will likely be fewer big plays this year. The running game will likely not improve but may approach last year’s production due to improved line play.
5. 10-3 (remember, this is a projection of what is truly lurking deep within the psyche)
6. 6-10
7. Yes (60% chance it will happen); injuries are a factor every year, but there doesn't seem to be much chance that we will again suffer 22 season ending injuries.
8. Yes if CWM transforms himself into BVG, Monte Kiffin, the guy who went to Texas
9. No. I’ve taken my position on CWM, and it is negative. I hope that I am wrong. I hope that CWM and CMR prove us all wrong with regard to Coach Martinez.
10. Searching ever deeper, I dare to detect, lurking there in the most obscure, dark crannies of the recesses of my peabrain soul, the final, bone-chilling horror! Tebow triumphs; Meyer reigns. No, I do not predict MNC for Gators, just a win over us. To quote wlayton, “Now I need to go puke…”
