I don't know how many of you are familiar with the fire in Charleston, SC that claimed 9 of our firefighters, but a coach for AJ Green was one of the firemen. Coach Richt came to the funeral of those firefighters as a way of supporting AJ Green. At that time AJ had already committed to Georgia.
That is pretty incredible and I remember reading how touched AJ was by that show of support.
Another example of what an outstanding coach we have with Richt.

That's a nice story, palmettodawg, I wasn't aware that CMR attended. I knew, of course, from the ESPN story that one of the firemen was a Summerville coach, but thanks for the info! I defy Flori-duh fans to find a single story like that about Urban Meyer that doesn't involve Timothy of Nazareth.
Also, golferdawg, your proclamation in 1998 of FSU's national dominance being over was a little premature, as they kind of won the national championship in 1999 and played for it again in 2000...ah well...it's over now, anyways, and that's what's important!!!

Hey guys, as I was leaving the office yesterday, my guy that gets so much info for me came up to me and told me this......AND he said it was RUMOR and he REALLY HOPED it was rumor!!!!!
He said that he got word that CWM thought he was text messaging another coach (or coaches) about Reid and made the comment to them to.......\"stay on Reid constantly because he requires a lot of attention\". WELL. it turns out that he sent the text to Reid BY MISTAKE and that Reid was now going to cancel his last trip to Athens and instead, go visit UM.
AGAIN, IT'S A RUMOR....but my guy isn't one to spread anything like this if there wasn't some validity to it.
Just thought ya'll might be interested and put your ears to the ground and see if ya'll hear anything about this as well.

I heard he cancelled his visit to UT (although word was they weren't really in the running anyway) yesterday, but I hadn't heard anything about his UGA visit.

He is no doubt a talented kid and I'm excited to see someone from my old high school alma mater win AJC player of the year, but this kid sounds like he may be a pain in the rear.
If he is indeed high maintenance and has opportunities with grades then we don't need him.
Sounds like a prima donna that will fit nicely with the lower academic standards UF offers. Maybe that's why he committed to the Gaytors early in the first place.
Sounds like a match made in heaven!
