Pete Carroll -- 2 national championships in his first ten years. Pay-for-play scandal with Reggie Bush
Urban Meyer -- national championship in second year, playing for one in fourth. Refers to self in third person. Calls time outs in final minute of game to rub victory in one rival's face, kicks field goal in final 30 seconds of game to run up score on another. Universally reviled as scum of earth. Star quarterback who transferred from Utah to play for him quits team in disgust.
Mark Richt - Two SEC titles, four Divisional titles in first 8 years. 8 straight bowl games. 7-1 against Tech. First-ever win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa. First win against Florida since 1997. 6-2 in bowl games. No recruiting scandals. No academic scandals. No one hates the guy.
Vince Dooley -- Two SEC titles in first five years. Did not win another won for eight additional years. Took 16 years to win his first and only national title.
Boys, do you want to win FAST, or do you want to win RIGHT?
Dapolla - agree with your opinion on Richt. I am personally a big fan of his - and think we're lucky to have him. Some of his assistants...not so much, but CMR is class and I hope he sticks around.
