not ready

Nah, Buc, you said it right, I just read it wrong.

I agree with you on the discipline, and I'll even say they need discipline instilled on the field as well. Try to nudge somebody out of bounds instead of tackling, you're benched. Stupid personal foul penalty, benched. Drop a pass in the open field because you're worrying about your endzone pose...well you get the idea.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Buc, I certainly respect your opinion and that's why I asked the question to YOU. I, too, believe in the \"old school\" scenerio of having a disciplined program and I agree whole heartedly with you. Also, in all these discussions, I haven't really thought about the \"off field\" problems we've had that could be contributing to whatever's going on. You make a great point in bringing that up!!
Your point about MSU's team is right on as well. They just aren't very good and we \"should\" beat them by 30 from the difference in talent on both teams. I dunno, just feel we make things very hard on ourselves when with the players we have, we should be putting many of these games away before the end of the 3rd quarter.

Oh well, they haven't called me to ask my opinion...maybe I should just shut up about it.....naaa, I love the Dawgs, gotta vent sometimes, huh?

Buc, I do agree with the lack of discipline our team seems to have. And I am with sadlerdawg, mess up, bench 'em.

The one thing all these kids want is playing time. Take it away, and hopefully something positive will come of it.

I am trying real hard not to call anyone out, draw your own conclusions as I have. Our defense played really well, cudos for each and every player. Must say this, not the toughest of offenses to game plan for. I want to see how we do with the same coaches, both offensive and defensive when there is a little more flex coming from the other side. I have problems when I see linebackers trying to cover wide receivers, makes me wonder why we don't go to the fifth defensive back. Having a bit of a problem wondering why we could not open up the offensive game plan a bit more against MSU. Guess that we did in the second half, just wondering when we have the receivers the caliber of AJ and Mo why the pigskin did not make it to their hands.

I don't think I am being negitive, when one, we come about flat in first half, just as we have done every game for the past 6 or 7 games. Flat first half Ala, 2nd half Fla, 2nd half GA Tech, so so games against Tenn, Vandy, Ky and auburn, games that we could have lost.

If we had come out flat in the first half of a national championship game and came back in the second half and won, you'd be happy.

This team reminds me of the team the Donnon had and he claimed that this was the most talented bunch of players he had ever coached. We under acheived that year to.

We went 8-4 that year. We went 10-3 this year. Do the math.

As for the coaching staff, you could arguably say that about Vince Dooley's coaching staff, including Erk, for the first sixteen years he was at Georgia. \"He's too conservative,\" \"He'll never contend with 'Bama,\" \"Why can't he beat Auburn,\" etc.

Yes, I'm happy with a 10-win season when our team this year wasn't good enough to win 10 games. I'm not happy with last year, honestly, an 11-win season when we were good enough to win them all. So there you go.

2009. A new year. A better shot. Go Dawgs.
