I'm talking about this year, not their all-time program. This year's Oklahoma vs Florida is like last year's Hawaii vs Georgia, becuase what both teams have in common is that their stats look good on paper as a result of playing in a conference not known for its great defenses. They never would have scored 60 points in 2, much less in 6 straight games if they were in this conference.
I'm sorry, it still doesn't fly. I don't care how you want to spin it, they went 12-1 in a BCS conference and in, arguably, the toughest division in football. Hawaii, on the other hand, played the weakest schedule in the country. I agree that they ran up the score their last two games to get to 60, but even taking away scores in the last 3 minutes of those games they would still be the highest scoring team in college football history.
Again, it is actually painful for me to defend them. But you're just plain wrong comparing them with Hawaii on any level.
