The Land Run of 1889 opened Oklahoma Territory to white settlers. There were people who went over into Oklahoma Territory the night before under the cover of darkness to stake illegal claims. These people who cheated on the Land Run were called \"Sooners\", they went into the territory \"sooner\" than they were supposed to, they were cheaters. \"Sooners\" are also not so affectionately known (by Oklahoma State fans) as squatters (or squats), mullets, dirt burglars, yardmen (Yardman U), land thieves, gooners, goons, zero-u, trailer park U, and (my personal favorite) unchained idjits.

Don't root for them to win. Ever. They are bad for college football. They are inveterate whiners, even whining when they win and ballistically whining when they lose (uo President David Boren called the blown call at Oregon a couple of years ago \"a more than outrageous injustice.\" This in the midst of a war going on in the Middle East. I have never been more embarrassed to be an Oklahoman. Don't be such a drama queen, David Boren, there is real injustice in this world and none of it involves a football game.)

Yeah, see them too......with sunburns.....tank tops, cutoffs, mullets and look as red as a lobster.....NOT a pretty sight. They may beat us in football and basketball but they are really tough to look at.

I wouldn't call it cheating. It only means that they were smarter than everyone else! Do I sense some tension between you and EVERY sooner fan? Just giving you a hard time man, I like playing devils advocate:P

What is this. I go away for some training and our site gets over run by Dirt Thieve U talk. Shame shame guys. lol. I'm not pulling for UF. I am however pulling for the SEC. Don't ask me how I will do that during the MNC game. I have not figured it out yet. It will more than likely go like this \" every big hit the OU defense puts on a UF player\" oh wait. They don't play defense in the Big 12. Never mind. I guess I will just giggle at the lack of play on the OU side. After all, they choke better than any team I know. Let's face it folks. UF is going to win. We are going to have to deal with it. At least GatorinGA is a class act. He wont rub it in......to much.

Think about the hatred that you guys have for Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, and Georgia Tech and roll it all up in one... and that's how I feel about the dirt burglars. Any redneck label you want to throw at any of the Dawg's rivals, mullets, etc., apply doubly to them. They are bad for college football.

The great irony of my life, however, is both my BS and doctorate in Pharmacy came from OU. OSU doesn't have pharmacy school.
