Does anyone know why WM is still here and not being fired?? This blows my mind. Richt needs to wake up.

Because georgia fans accept this mediocrity, 9-3 is a good year they will say!!!

I disagree. The mere fact that Richt is having to defend Willie in his press conferences belies your statement. NO ONE is happy with this season. No one is happy with our defensive performance. We don't accept this mediocrity. Period. Otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation. If we accepted 9-3 years and no SEC title shot with great talent, Jim Donnan would still be the head coach.

Problem is...past results \"can be\" indicative of future results. Think about it.

I will not think about it, wlayton, because it makes no sense.

1926: 5-4-0 with losses to Vanderbilt, Yale and Furman.
1927: 9-1-0, Boand and Poling poll national champs

1947: 7-4-1, with losses to North Carolina, a shutout loss to Kentucky, and a shutout loss to Tech
1948: 9-2-0, with an SEC championship and an Orange Bowl appearance.

1958: 4-6-0
1959: 10-1-0, with an SEC championship and an Orange Bowl win

1979: 6-5-0, with losses to Auburn, Virginia, Clemson and Wake Forest
1980: Well, you know what happened in 1980.

2006: 9-4, with losses to Vanderbilt and Kentucky, plus Tennessee scores 51 between the hedges.
2007: 11-2, with a Sugar Bowl victory.

Disappointing years don't mean squat. Every year is a new year. Be realistic and realize that everything gets wiped clean unless we don't let it be wiped clean.

Just say Go Dawgs.

i think Eli came out early?

No, Eli played all four years.

Brady was a four-year guy. Peyton was a four year guy, wasn't he? Jake Delhomme, four-year guy. Matt Ryan, four-year guy. Jeff Garcia, four-year JuCo transfer. Drew Brees, four year guy. Tony Romo, four-year guy. Donovan McNabb, four-year guy. Jason Campbell, four-year guy. Aaron Rodgers was a three-year guy (one year JuCo, two at Cal). Kyle Orton, four-year guy. Daunte Culpepper, four-year guy. Brooks Bollinger, four-year guy. J.T. O'Sullivan, three-year guy who played baseball his first year at UC-Davis. Dan Hasselbeck, four-year guy. Kurt Warner, four-year guy. I could keep going, but does that answer your question? Almost no one starting in the NFL right now came out after his junior year as a quarterback. Brett Favre, four-year guy. Carson Palmer, four-year guy. Derek Anderson, four-year guy. Ben Roethlisberger came out after his junior year. Joe Flacco and Troy Smith, both four-year guys. Chad Pennington, four-year guy. Philip Rivers, four-year guy.

Hmm...I notice a trend. Out of all of those guys, I'm seeing one guy who's proven it (Big Ben) and another (Rodgers) on whom the jury's still out.

Not much doubt Stafford is gone as the number one pick in the draft. The frequency of quality pro style QB's coming out of college are not only few and far between, but also dwindling in the quantity every year. Talent like his is a rarity right now.

Colin Cowherd was talking about this today on his show and he did a piece on Stafford being number one which would send him to Detroit. He talked about how going to Detroit alone would be incentive to stay another year or he could wait until UGA is up by three TD's in the bowl game and throw a few picks just to drop his draft status. Won't happen, but quite comical. Colin actually had people calling in talking about how dismal Detroit is and how bad it is to live there. It really is a down city and a horrible football franchise. Hopefully he will be a big piece in righting the ship there for his sake.

Maybe Matt was listening and will stay just so he does not have to go to Detroit.

Frankly, I think you guys are messed up and projecting your own misplaced priorities onto MS. Money isn't everything. The difference between owning 2 ferraris or three is less than the difference between playing for detroit or dallas.
