Stafford, Moreno, Atkins and the NFL draft

Geno, obviously, will stay.
Stafford would be an idiot not to leave.
Moreno has been quoted -- as have members of his family -- on several occasions as saying that he's in school for an education.

Take all of these things as you will.

I will miss all of them if they decide to go. I believe that their is somthing to be said about staying in college for four years as a quarterback. It enables the prospect more time to develop, for example peyton and elli manning but it also leaves room for injury. I hope Stafford and the boys stay, but I understand why they enter the draft.

Even if they MS leave what difference does it really make? Its not like we dont have more talent at QB. What about when David Green left...or DJ? I was just as worried then and everything turned out ok. Even though we had a 9-4 season with MS as a freshman. I know we have been doing a lot of complaining about coaches this year but they have produced for us in the past and i dont see this year being any different. Think of it this way...Murray could come in and learn his first year like MS and then give us a couple more great years! Or logan. As for KM...Dapola already stated his theory and i agree. He stays! Tell you the truth...im excited to see the new guys, but i would hate to see MS go. I wish everyone who leaves the best!!! B)

The collective bargaining situation is a huge factor. Let me ask ya'll the question.....if you were going to be the #1 QB taken in the draft and it could mean a 20 million signing bonus versus waiting a year and getting a 4-5 million (or less) signing bonus, what would you do?!!? Similar, although smaller, situation for KM. This bargaining agreement is going to \"force\" MANY juniors (or red-shirt soph) to come on out now whether they really want to or not.

I agree, MONEY TALKS!! And as for KM I would hate to see him leave but he could always do like many other players have done before, go back and get his degree. But on the other hand money is not everything it will not last forever, UNLIKE an education! these guys have some tough decisions to make in a few months. All I can say is best of luck to these guys whatever they decide. They will be missed!
