Excuses (Loss to Gators)

That's just it fire_dawg, the truly GREAT ones didn't have days like yesterday or the Bama game or the UT and USC games last year or the UF gamein '02 that stopped our shot a a NC. Like sadlerdawg said.....the 10 years of greatness FSU had, plus the greatness of the Miami teams that just DOMINATED teams etc. they had the swagger, the \"will\" to win no matter what, bad day or not (and when they RARELY lost they were ALWAYS in the game, not embarrassed like we have been the last 2 years).....the great ones have that IT FACTOR !!!!!!

I agree 100 percent with wlayton. 10 and 2 is great, but I would like a little more. I was 11 when the Dawgs won the NC, that has been 28 years. Meanwhile Floida,Alabama,Lsu, and Tenn all have won at least 1 NC. I don't know what the answer is, but something is missing. I think we have the talent and the right coaching. We just need to find the IT! Call me greedy, but I want more for the Bulldawg nation. GO DAWGS.

wlayton, it's aso called arrogence. Your right, our guys need the attitide that they are the biggest, baddest bunch of mo fo's on the field! It just seems like every year that we are intimidated by the UF, the Alabama's, the USC's of college football. And that's what I don't understand. We have had GREAT football teams in the past few years but it just seems like sometimes they get intimidated by some of these teams. I don't know if it's their (opposing) coaches or what. What we have to realize is that they put their britches on the same way as we do, one leg at a time! Maybe they have been listening to all the talking heads and have psyched themselves out or what? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE DAWGS!! It just seems like sometimes that they don't play with the confidence that they should.

I agree with you fire_dawg but GREAT teams that have that intangible IT factor AREN'T intimidated by ANYONE. Also (IMO), I certainly believe you can have greatness without arrogance. Some teams with swagger ARE arrogant, I still prefer that what we are discussing is an intangible within an athlete or a team that creates this phenomena called an \"IT\" factor. FSU use to have it and they weren't arrogant....our 1980 team had it and they weren't arrogant....maybe the Miami teams could have been looked upon as arrogant BUT there is a very fine line between confidence and arrogance.

The \"IT\" factor doesn't necessarily equal arrogance.

Besides, it ain't arrogance if you can back it up!!!!!

Nobody beats Florida yesterday. Nobody.
Having said that, I think they still lose another game.
