Fire Willie Martinez

Dan LeFevour and Rudy Carpenter aren't cupcake quarterbacks, and we put a pretty good hurtin on Timmy Tebow last year. Give the man a break! As the song says, every dawg has his day, and it's just one loss in the last 12 games.
I think the Bulldog Nation is a little spoiled on our recent success. We all want to win of course, but we haven't been doing too bad relatively speaking, and remember we lost Ellerbe early in the game.
We'll run the table and win the SEC in a revenge rematch, and y'all will forget about the late September witch hunt of Willie Martinez.

Nah this happens at least once a year and it needs to be corrected, most average defensive people could get the results he gets with the talent georgia gets.

We should never need to get revenge if he wasnt sleeping last year against UT/vandy we would have most likely won the SEC championship and we could have been the ones killing OSU.

Point taken, and you may very well be correct. My point is that a dissapointing loss makes people angry and they quickly look for someone to blame. I was angry too after the game, but this isn't the NFL, and as bad as we feel, those kids must be feeling much worse. If Martinez is indeed a problem, I'm sure they'll do something about him. I'm just a dumb fan, I trust that Coach Richt and the AD know more than I do.

Martinez wasn't aggressive enough. Go at Wilson, bring the heat, make those big Oline redirect and face different packages. No, we only rush four, CBs are playing way off and we get no pressure at all.

Your words in God's ears...

But when your defensive gameplan is a huge part of trailing 31-0 at halftime, then you have to think twice about it. Everyone could see our front 4 wasn't getting enough pressure in the first games against bad teams, Mark Richt even said it numerous times to the media. Yet there is no adjustment. Gotta hold people accountable and every football mind has to be disgusted with Martinez' passive gameplan tonight...

We havent been playing the way UGA can play football, Last night and during the South Carolina game, i noticed the fans werent a part of the game at all, we were blacked out so we could be pumped up and use the Fans as the difference, GET LOUD and make it so we have an advantage of playing at home! also too many well thrown passes that either hit the reciever in the hands or bounced off there chest, i first thought that Stafford wasnt doing the job, till i watched reviews of the plays and watched the games again, he is putting the ball perfectly more times than not, but we are not catching the ball. I like watching A.J. Green play football, he shows a leader in himself, when he makes a mistake he gets upset with himself, not the coach, or the QB or his team, and as a young freshman, he could of easily been discouraged and sulked in the big loss they were in, but instead he went back out there and made some big plays, I am proud of him and see a great reciever in him. The special teams needs work, we did a great job on the punt return, but as far as our kicking goes, i believe we have been spoiled with great kickers in the past, that we have a lousy kicker out there now and it shows big time, its hard for any defense to hold a team when you kick the ball 25 yards, we also didnt play the game we play, Moreno couldnt get the ball because we didnt have enough time to throw it so the run was pretty much stopped and we couldnt fake play action because we have no pass protection, i know we were down big after the half 31-0, and i can see that Stafford wants to be more of a Tebow as in the plays he runs, he is becoming more gutsy and is running the ball, i think it is a good thing because he challenges the defense, but it scares the heck out of me to see him run the ball like he did and then get up slow after the play, as it did when durham got hit and came out of the game after a big 1st down conversion, but the risky triple option from king to massaquai and the pass to stafford in the triple D was a stupid call in my opinion, i know we needed a risky play to change the momentum of the game but risking our starting QB on a deep hail mary type play in my opinion was a very risky play, i know we can play better football and as excited i was to see USC lose and UF lose i knew that we were going into a tough game, i would love to have won against alabama and went into a Bye week with a higher ranking, but sometimes it takes a loss to make a team better, so maybe this will be the match we have to light under ourselves to win out the season, and play alabama again in the SEC championship, we can do it i know we can, but i also pray that this isnt the loss that makes certain individuals say goodbye to next year and decided to go to the big leagues instead of staying another year, its still early in the season and its weeks like these that make college football so interesting, keep your head up CMR, and keep your head up Dawgs fans! we still have a very hard schedule in front of us!
