I agree. The question is Alabama that good or are we that bad? Tulane did a better job of stopping the Bama offense than we did.

Alabama is that good. They have a veteran offensive line, a veteran QB, good recievers, and a good tandem of running backs. That creates ballance, and that is very hard to defense. The next time we play bama in the SEC title game (hopefully), watch us drop the safety into the box and play more man coverage. I really do believe that a mix of coverages which amounts to a man free cover 1 with either a blitzing safety, lb spy, or short zone is the answer. Let the corners and the free safety play coverage, while bringing the SS into the box to play agressively against the run. The DT HAVE TO GET A BETTER PUSH, and the DE have to do a better job of contain. The Dawgs will be fine.

Can we move onto something else, we loss and its eating us up, its monday now and we don't need to dwell on one loss seeing how we have more games that will surely test us. I agree that the Tenn game will be a statement game since how we made a poor one from saturday. Don't think that CMR isnt giving WM an earful while they are watching film cause im sure everyone hear heard what CMR said at the end of the first half. Too right. 2007 was the only year under CWM that we've been free of a game where we score 30 points and still lose. Of course, we did that twice in 2005 (against Auburn and then against West Virginia), so it averages out to once a year so far. That's actually even worse than when Ray Goff was coach (I forgot the name of his atrocious DC, help me out here), although the winning percentage is of course far better.

Jerk though he is, I can't help but wonder what results BVG could have gotten the last three years with the talent we've had...oh well. Time to man up and finish out the year!

I just joined this forum because I haven't seen nearly enough criticism of WM from any of the media. This guy has got to go. I don't have to tell you how frustrating it is to see 2 or 3 blitzes in every game this year. Would be one thing if we were covering receivers but as has been pointed out below, we don't.

It's almost like WM thinks zone means, \"make sure you don't get within 5 yards of a receiver.\" Bend but don't break relies on huge plays like forcing the goal line fumble in the SC game. I didn't just get on this bandwagon, I have long said that we will never be BCS champs until we get rid of Willie. Judging by the number of posts on this topic I'm not alone. Can only hope that this is getting through to Richt. Loyalty has its limits.

Most of the problems we had last saturday can be worked out, but there's only one solution for the chronic problems we have on defense. FREE WILLIE from any commitments to UGA.
