I completely agree. You give up 31 in the first half and all of the sudden our running game is rendered practically useless.

I'm not calling for WMs head on a pike YET. We have problems playing against the pass. That simple. We have no pressure and the coverage is soft. JPW went 13-16 for 200 + yds at almost 13 yds per completion. 5 of the 7 guys that caught passes had a reception avg of 11 or more yds per catch. Does anyone else see a problem with this? It isn't like JPW and Alabama are a high octane passing team.

Kudos for holding Bama 2.9 yds per carry for 129 yds rushing for the day. Too bad JPW picked us apart with his noodle of an arm.

Hey people, slice and dice the game all you want, bottom line is they are very good, were better prepared, we were out coached and they came out and whipped our butts. With their personel it wouldn't have mattered WHO coached our D or our O, their offensive and defensive fronts are just BETTER than ours. Analyze all you want, you are wasting your time.

I've never been more dissappointed in any Dawg team than what I sat and watched last night. Yes, I was proud of the way we came back but Bama \"shut it down\" in the second half to run out the clock until we got within 14 points, then they cranked it up and scored 10 more to seal the deal. They are just better.

I tell you what though. Our center did a heck of a job. It looked like he was the only one that knew what was going on several times. If there was a game ball to be given. My vote would go to him. He handled the \"Mt. Cody\" really well. Good things to come I thing.

Your right flyindawg, our center did a heck of a job last night and should be a great confidence builder considering our young o-line. The Bama game is behind us now, we know what we need to work on. So let's fix what we need to and look toward UT!

Once again, it does matter, martinez uses these idiotic packages that work fine as long as you get the big play but if you don't then the team is screwed. If it wasn't for that big play chance(fumble) at south carolina we would be at 0-2 in the SEC and out of it.

He is the biggest problem with the team, its amazing all the other defenses we face jam our receivers off the line but our DBs are backing up when the ball is snapped, hell they are already 10 yards off to begin with.

If anyone watched the Vandy vs Carolina game a few weeks ago, Vandy blitzed nearly every play, I was sure we would blitz Carolina like crazy, especially without McKinley. But no, we barely blitzed and Rennie Curran saved us by making a hell of a play and saved Martinez as well. We are the only team of all time to blitz our Defensive backs more than our linebackers. I think that coach Martinez is just to stubborn to make any changes. I never see a true gameplan week to week, its just like we play base defense and hope to get lucky, which we do against weaker teams.
