Blackout

You guys are missing the point a little bit. The players asked for this. I don't care how many times they were it. If they (the players) think they need the black jerseys, so be it. I will jump on that wagon wheel. What I, or anyone else think is \"To Much\" does not matter. What does matter is how will it effect the players. Lets face it. Our schedule is not easy. Our boys are tired, and have just turned on to the long street home. I say where it, get pumped up, and destroy BAMA.

Remember. Will power (the power of the brain) is an amazing thing. If you can use something that does not matter (in true terms) to motivate your troops. Do it.

The problem with blacking out the Cocktail Party is that we only have half the stadium. The incredible thing about walking into Sanford at night against Auburn last year was that the WHOLE PLACE WAS BLACK. Even before the players ran out onto the field, it was an incredible feeling to be enveloped in that black. We wouldn't have that effect against Florida for two reasons: one, I fully expect that to be the 3:30 CBS game, meaning we wouldn't get the nighttime effect, and two, we would only be blacking out half the stadium. I like doing this against 'Bama and at night. This game is one that the season hinges on, I truly believe that.

I agree with others on the issue to only do it once or twice during the year. I also feel that if we did it to much then it wouldn't have the meaning that we originally used it for. Only thing I wish they would have done was keep it in secret like last year cause i'm sure everyone saw how crazy and loud our house got when they came out in the jerseys. Also think the Florida game wouldn't be wise because of the half and half, but even though the gators will be hungry for what we did last year...lets not forget that's last year and all we need to do is take care of business. Easier to say then do but I feel that we can do it, am I to optimistic for my dawgs?

I for 1 am very excited! This will be my first UGA Home game. And nothing excites me more than a blackout!!! I will be coming in friday afternoon from northwest louisiana.

I love the idea. I love it even more since I'll be there!! Definatley agree that they should only wear them at night though. Man I'm JACKED UP waiting for Saturday in Athens!! And it's the wife and mine anniversary! What better way to spend it then with my DAWG FAMILY!!! GOOOOO DAWWWGSSSSSS!!!
