we did fall to 3rd according to espn's poll. i thought the same thing in the stands. i think we were the only team whose back-up qb scored a touchdown though. i think the players will keep a chip on their shgoulder after this happens 2 times to them back to back. espn needs to have their lips surgically removed from carrol and tressel's, well you know where that's going. i guess it's time we put on a show.

That is such bull. They just love using UGA to set new precedents. The standard for decades was if you don't play one week, and the team(s) above you loses, you move up. Well, that changed last year to keep us out of the NC game. Another standard was that if you won your game handily, you didn't lose any spots. Apparently, that standard is now also changed, I guess you have to win by more than the team behind you does. I guess they just like to make up the rules as they go along to allow their \"Golden Boys\" to be where they want.

As much as I love the way CMR handles situations like this, maybe he should adjust his thinking (and attitude?) like he did the 2nd half of last year and just start dishing out some serious whuppin's.


Still think this is a good thing for us this season, takes some pressure off.

Keep in mind that those \"whuppins\" were against capable opponents. The huge beatdowns were against Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn, Tech, Troy (who proved themselves to be giant-killers) and Hawai'i. Rightfully so, CMR has no desire nor any obligation to embarrass teams that aren't on our level, especially Southern, who's basically like a kid half-brother to the UGA program. 45-21 is enough of a beatdown. We didn't need to score 70.

The difference between Coach Richt and the Leyer, the Fulminator and other classless coaches is respect. A win is a win. Richt knows that, and behaved accordingly.

Central Michigan, however, is a two-time defending MAC champion and is FBS. I don't see the Dawgs pulling the same punches as we did against Georgia Southern.

I totally agree and wouldn't ever want CMR to change a thing....just got my feathers ruffled up a bit. :woohoo: :woohoo:
