Takes more to get that, a real championship, than the one that pollsters decide.

A) The press and especially HYPEspn hate all things Georgia, whether it be UGA, Georgia Tech (yes, they hate Tech too), the Braves, or the Vick-less Falcons. The only team I can remember them giving any love to in recent history is the Georgia basketball team during the SEC tourney run, because they HAD to. True, they named Valdosta \"Title Town USA,\" but that was based on online voting. And it was ridiculous how pro-Fresno State they were during the CWS.

B ) This is ONE WEEK. If last year taught us nothing else, it taught us that every week in college football is a new week. I just hate being at #2 because so many #2s lost last year.

C) Being not number one is so much better than being #1. It's a motivator, it's somewhere to go, and it allows us to play the respect card, ESPECIALLY after this week when they either jump Ohio State over us to #2 or even to #1, leaving USC above us without playing a game just so they have a #1 vs. #2 matchup in LA in week 3.

D) The only poll that matters is the one taken immediately after championship game week. Period and forever and Amen.

Yeah, and to prove it, wait until the Ohio State/USC game. Regardless of the score, regardless of the margin of victory of one over the other, neither will fall more than a few spots.

I don't think the loser of the OSU/USC game should fall very far, admittedly, they both are good teams. Just like if we lost to a LSU, I don't think we should fall very far either.

I don't know if anybody heard the play by play guys for the Vandy/SC game last night say that the winner of the USC/OSU game would be the clear no. 1 team in the country. In the tank.

Yeah, I heard that crap!!! Then one of the the talking heads preceeded to say how they had USC #1 from the beginning and how USC was such a superior team since they beat Va. Va. is not that good and if USC had of lost they would have came up with some excuse as to why. I just about punched a hole in the wall when I heard that! We just need to concentrate on one game at a time and win!! I can't wait till we win all of our games and then see what they have to say. Since they admit how hard our schedule is. I'm sure they will find some reason to bash us. Oh well.
