Needless to say I was very sad to hear of Sturdivants fate with the knee once the season ending injury was announced. Can't wait for this rising star to get healthy and make his mark next season. The chess match on offensive line is now in full swing for CMR and Coach Searels. Let's not forget we have the best coaching staff in the country and I'm sure they already had a few \"Plan B's\" in order in anticipation of something like this happening.
Let's say our prayers and count our blessings that this is the only major loss to absorb. Heard the Gaytors lost two more today. That makes three counting Ingram out with season ending knee injuries. USC is dealing with a quandry at QB now while Sanchez is questionable for the opening of the season. Yeah it sucks to lose an anchor on the line like Sturdivant, but it could always be worse. There are many schemes to work around a set back(won't say weakness) on the O line and besides depth and talent are what have the Dawgs sitting on top right now.

wlayton, agree with your guy. Most of the film I have watched and articles I have read, place AJ at guard. Know that speed is not one of his better qualities. Big strong player. Just throwing some things out. Coaching staff will take care of this situation, have great faith in them and the UGA players. Notice now that many of the \"talking heads\" are dropping UGA from the #1 slot. Makes no difference as far as I am concerned, those that are in the know understand that this is a solid football squad. Go Dawgs!

DawgnLA, below is an article that you might want to read. This is taken from my local mullet wrapper here on Merritt Island.

Agree Buc, sometimes people don't realize that championships aren't won because of the strength of one or two players.....it's the strength of the team from top to bottom. UGA's strength IS from top to bottom. Extreme depth, talent and always remember....the big D is what wins championships and our D may actually be THE strength of this years team!!!

I agree about the defense. No one player ever won or lost a championship.
From what I've read they are considering all options, combinations for the OL.
We'll be fine, takes a little pressure off the hype, maybe a little extra motivation.
What makes me mad is some of the reaction from other team's fans, kinda gloating. As much as I hate our rivals, you never want to see a kid go down.
GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
