What do you all know about Kiante Tripp? Chip Towers makes me feel much better about our chances of filling Trinton's spot for the season, but you recruit-happy guys and practice-watchers (and those of you with more access to the ABH than I do) might know better. So what's the opinion on Kiante Tripp?

Bottom line on Tripp (IMO) is that he's a tremendous athlete but has no experience whatsoever. They will probably move him from RT to LT now.

Time for Coach Searels to coach 'em up.

I've been thinking. It's a good things we start out with our two easiest games. Maybe the OL can gel a little bit before we play the Gamecocks. I know they are gonna come after us. Maybe like wlayton said, run the ball more, loosen things up. I have to believe things are going to be alright. This is still our year.
I feel really bad for Sturdivant, in my prayers. Serious stuff.

Realize that this is a bit far out, but will post anyway. First off, feel really bad for Sturdivant, that is the game of football, folks get hurt. Just sorry that such a promising young athlete with a great future went down like this. I hope that he finds his way back and can go on to bigger and better things. Tough injury.

UGA started last year with an offensive line that was anything but proven, with the exception of center. Coach Searels put a quick end to that. Took the young folks about 6 or 7 games to come around, but come around they did. Could not ask for a better offensive line coach, maybe the best in the nation. That might be as some say, a fact.

AJ Harmon signed on with UGA and one of the things that he wanted was to play on the defensive side of the ball. No doubt that he could be a force in the middle, forcing plays outside. We definitely have the DE's and LB's with speed that will love that. Not saying that AJ will start, just mentioning the fact that he was and is a highly regarded 3 or 4 stance lineman.

Personally would love to see AJ Harmon move over to the LT slot and give it a shot, know that time is of the essence, but also know that if you are going to have a solid ground game, you need someone to be a motor grader. DE's have to stay at home when you have someone that is blocking for the stable of backs that UGA has. You can be the best pass rusher on the planet, but when KM or CK or the rest of these backs head in your direction and you have someone like AJ pancaking your bottom, pass rush does not mean a thing. Know that Coach Searels and Coach Richt have a handle on this, just my two cents. Go to youtube and watch AJ Harmon \"blow\" Cornelius Washington up, and there is not a bigger supporter on this board than I am on Cornelius Washington. Like I said just my two cents worth.

Buc, very good point about DE's having to respect the run 1st with KM and CK in the backfield, which naturally slows the pass rush. I just don't see Harmon playing tackle much less LT. My guy gets word that they may move Tripp to LT (been working at RT I believe). Word is, Harmon is more of a guard than than a tackle.
