What are we gonna do for a FB now?

Southerland had to have another surgery on his foot. He is expected to be out of action for at least 16 weeks. That's 5 games, minimum. Munzenmaier is going to be suspended for 2 games because of underage drinking.

How in the hell are we going to replace someone that has been so dependable when we need the tough yards or the TD on 3rd and goal? Looks like Chapas will be the starting FB for at least the first 2 games....Hell of a way to have an off-season, huh? 4 arrests and now the starting FB likely out for about half the season.

From what I saw last Season, Chapas looks like a solid player and should be fine, but nobody in the nation can replace Southerland, who is the best lead blocking fullback that I have ever seen.

I don't like the way this off-season is going at all........

This sucks. I think Brandon the heart and soul of the offense. It's time for someone to step up and show some leadership.

We will be fine. Chapas should do fine until BS gets back. Dont get me wrong, you dont replace a guy like Brannan. But I think Chapas will be ok. Also, we are moving Justin Fields (walkon) from i believe linebacker to FB so that we have some depth until Fred M returns from his suspension.

Look at the bright side. We could be seeing alot more sets with Caleb King and Knowshon Moreno on the field at the same time.

This is a bitter pill to swallow without a doubt. However someone will have to step up to the challenge. BS has been phenomenal at the FB position, maybe the best ever between the hedges. Unfortunately, you never know if he will even be at 100% after the 16 weeks. I just wish him a speedy recovery and hope for the best!
