Schedule isn't as tough as you think when you look

so bama beats auburn and lsu and tenn (and whoever else, except uga)?

No. 'Bama is still a year or two away, and as I predicted before, will lose to the Impostor Bulldogs for a third straight year. LSU will win the West by default, since Auburn is in transition and 'Bama is still a year or two away and Arkansas is helmed by a madman and Ole Miss isn't even fielding a team. LSU's major competition this year in the West will be MSU.

lsu will be as strong as last year (but probably not as lucky) because the OL will be better and the DL will be just as good as last year.

Really? Name your quarterback, then. Or is that position overrated?

Believe in your team all you want, but you weren't even the best team in the conference you won last year, and you certainly weren't the best team in the country, nor did you beat the second-best team in the country to earn that title. You should have taken the whole ball of wax in 2003 (the '03 Tiger squad was one of THE best teams I have ever seen fielded), don't get me wrong, but last year was a toss-up.

To address your last statement, UGA at LSU is NOT a toss-up. Dawgs 27, LSU 21.

Well i have to start off by saying that the schedule IS as hard as it seems. The to games to hold your breath for will be AL, Fl and LSU. Although LSU will not be the team that they were last year, the game is in there house. Has anybody been to an LSU home game. Its CRAZY! They definately have 2 extra guys on the field unstead of 1. But whatever, i have faith in my boys. We just need to stay away from injuries!!!

Goooooo Dawgs...Sic'em...Woof Woof Woof!!!

i was with you til the MSU thing.

does seem like one of those seasons decided by tiebreaker. lsu is the best team, but scheduling favors auburn

yes, qb is overrated. the lines are much more important. did lsu win titles in 03 and 07 because of mauck and flynn?

Believe in your team all you want, but you weren't even the best team in the conference you won last year,

so \"best team\" is defined not by winning but by???? how good they look in their uniform?

and you certainly weren't the best team in the country, nor did you beat the second-best team in the country to earn that title.

so what does \"earn that title\" mean? lsu was chosen by crappy systems (both SEC and ncaa systems are crappy) and won the games. be happy for your big brother in the west. uga should ignore its president and be above sour grapes.

You should have taken the whole ball of wax in 2003

lsu did

wow. a 6 pt win. pretty bold. when the outcome of the game can be decided on one play, that is a toss-up.

oledawg you have been missed on this board. Are you still up in Maryland? I am already tired of all the predictions for the up-coming season. This kind of suff puts unbelievable pressure on the young men playing the game. I know everyone wants a undefeated season and a national championship, but come on guys give the team some breatrhing room. Pressure can be an evil thing. Very few people can handle pressure like Tiger Woods, and even he breaks down on occasion. Let CMR coach and let the players play the game one at a time. Cheer like crazy and support them in every way, that should be the fans role. Again, welcome oledawg, don't be such a stranger. As always, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Careful now. Sly is doing a good job with those boys down in Starkville, and like it or not the West is weaker right now than it has been in years. I'm sure you haven't forgotten what happened to Georgia in a weak East in 2006...didn't \"bottom-feeders\" Vandy and Kentucky both beat us? Things happen...after all, you lost to Arkansas and Kentucky last year. It ain't an insult, as I'm sure LSU will win the West this year. Just, you know...I think MSU's got the experience and the coaching to do just a little more damage than they did last year.

Gee, I'm glad we have your line coach then! ;) Seriously though, I think Matt Mauck was a huge part of why LSU was successful in 2003, and Flynn's experience was a large part of the Tigers' success in '06 and '07. I wouldn't downgrade Matt Mauck; the guy won you TWO SEC championships.

be happy for your big brother in the west. uga should ignore its president and be above sour grapes.

Lord, I wish I could ignore our president. You may not know this, Gumborue, but we Dawgs absolutely HATE Michael Adams. No one was more embarrassed than Dawg fans when he came out late in favor of a playoff. It made us look like stupid whiny crybabies. God I hate that man, and so does nearly everyone else on Georgia campus. It's not just athletic, though, it's everything about the way he attempts to run the University, and that's a topic for a whole nother thread. If you have a great president at LSU, believe me we are bitterly jealous of that more than of your two crystal balls.

And it's not sour grapes. Believe it or not, I thought that the way we played against Tennessee last year should have disqualified us from any contention, regardless of our record. It was pathetic. I was happy with the three #1 AP votes we got. That was vindication enough, along with winning the Sugar Bowl twice in five years (something we've never done before).

You should have taken the whole ball of wax in 2003

No you didn't, and I think you should have. LSU would have whipped USC in a straight-up game, and the AP should have recognized that. You should have won both the BCS and AP titles, with no split. LSU was BY FAR the best team in the country that year, slip-up in Gainesville or no slip-up. That's all I meant by you should have won the whole thing.

wow. a 6 pt win. pretty bold. when the outcome of the game can be decided on one play, that is a toss-up.

Considering that the last two times we played you we stomped you into the ground (no offense), a six-point win might be considered a toss-up. However, the way these two teams are SUPPOSED to be built this year, six points looks more like the Sahara than a walk across the street, if you catch my drift.

At any rate, this tete-a-tete has been fun and I hope it continues. Good luck on your season...until October 25th, that is!
