So dapolla, it's hard to tell but I gather you don't like Adams.

Didn't like a couple of past Presidents either but if they got me a tax cut then I sure felt better.

Plus he's getting ridiculed in online news services and on ESPN, so he's making ALL of UGA look like a bunch of whining prigs who can't get over \"only being number two.\" In short, I don't like the guy, he's running MY university into the ground, and at the same time he's making ME look like an idiot.

I was all nice and relaxed before this thread popped up...if only a trap door would open up underneath MFA when he walked out on the field for Homecoming...and a giant, human-sized Dispos-all was underneath the trap door...

I am not trying to be an Adams apologist. I simply think the BCS sucks and I welcome anyone's attempt to overhaul the system, whatever their motivation, be it Adams, Hillary Clinton or BinLaden. That's how much I LOATHE the BCS and ESPN.
As far as UGA's acceptance policy, nothing will change until we cap out of state admissions, as UNC or UVA did. There are just too many outstanding students who are chomping at the bit to go to Georgia. Who can blame them? That's what happens when a school attracts the brightest students.

I have to totally agree with dapolla. I despise Adams for all of the same reasons. Like I said I can appreciate the fact that he spoke up about a need for a playoff. However his methods are nothing but a knee jerk reaction that makes it look like our beloved University has sour grapes about not playing in the BCS championship. He's an idiot and deserves whatever he gets for this lame brained proposal, but has made our university, teams and fans look like a sniveling bunch of cry babies(and it's only him).

I can only hope that others do not let this moron's uncalculated self absorbed attempt at attention reflect on the rest of the university and all associated with it.

Again, I'm not defending his behavior. The topic was brought up because the annual NCAA meeting convenes Monday and this will become, hopefully, a major topic of discussion. So I guess this is the time to bring the subject of a playoff up.
I guess there are those who think it's sour grapes but nonetheless next week is when they meet.
P.S. Mark Richt has supported the same thing publicly in the last couple of days.
Also, Adams may be a scum sucking leach but I still like the idea of an eight game playoff.
