Where UGA stands

You let him get some big time receivers like a Harvin, Caldwell etc and see what his numbers would be, geez, those type of receivers are running around WIDE OPEN, where our receivers hardly EVER get separation. Having those types to throw to makes a QB's job SO much easier. He hasn't thrown to a future NFL receiver since he's been there. Check his stats the next 2 years.

With our running game, Bobo would be an idiot to ask Stafford to win games for us.

I agree with all of your post.
But I still stand by mine.

I'm not disagreeing with your post, his stats do show he's average or a little above average at best. I'm just saying the boy has a ton more talent than Bobo will cut loose (probably because of our receiver situation and the success of our running game).

Even a Buck Belue MAY have actually been a better passer than perceived but why in the world would you throw the ball?

GatorinGA, excellent info. Where do you get it?

Stafford's got a great arm, which probably, at this point, hurts him a little bit. He sometimes thinks he can make the impossible throw. He still needs to grow up a little bit. I still say, of all the SEC quarterbacks, he lights it up the most at the next level. He'll be 100% better in 2008.
