UGA's offense came out hot scoring on its first six possessions (4 TDs & 2 FGs) to take a commanding 34-7 lead into halftime.

QB Carson Beck completed his first 13 passes for 158 yards and 2 TDs. He finished the game w/ 389 yards passing and 4 TDs. His primary target was TE Brock Bowers, who made 7 receptions for 132 yards and 1 TD.

Freshman K Peyton Woodring had a good game connecting on 6 of 6 PATs and 3 of 3 FGs. His 15 points exceeded that scored by the Wildcats on the day.

Kentucky undermined any chance they had early on with undisciplined play (e.g., two unnecessary roughness penalties) and some errant throws to open receivers by QB Devin Leary.

UGA's defense limited Kentucky's star RB Ray Davis to 59 yards on 15 carries, a week after he rushed for 280 yards vs. Florida.

After the game Kentucky HC Mark Stoops said "They kicked our butt." A couple of days later he added, "I can promise you -- Georgia, they bought some pretty good players." Kirby Smart responded that Stoops was just trying to raise money for his NIL collective, like everyone else.

According to Nielsen's ratings, 3.19M people viewed the contest, the fifth-most watched college football game last week.

UGA has been ranked #1 in the AP College Football Poll for 17 weeks, an SEC record. They are currently tied with FSU for the fourth longest streak and a win away from tying USC for the third-longest streak.
