This game was fantastic in every facet, except the defense giving up the hard fought shutout with 1 minute left in the game. I was pissed when I saw that. This game should have been a shutout, but....I better check myself into the reality clinic: this is the price of training the young pups. Sometimes during training, they crap on the carpet. We pick it up, spray some resolve on the field to get the stain up, Febreeze the room and it will all be forgotten in a few hours.
The dominance of this game comes down to one thing, and one thing only: recruiting. Our players are just that much better than their players. There's nothing magical that we're doing to win these games. It is hard work, study, focus, discipline, and talent. And talent is everything. Shane Beamer isn't a bad coach, and SC has some good players, but our players are so heads and shoulders above theirs that nothing - nothing - South Carolina could have done would have even kept them close against Georgia. That's the bottom line. No further analysis needed right now. More analysis on specifics later tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm savoring everything about this season.
Gonna watch more of this LSWho v. Fake Bulldogs game.
Sad to hear about Arik Gilbert. Hope that young man gets the help he needs in whatever is plaguing him.
GO DAWGS!!!! 3-0. Next up. Focus, intensity, ignore the hype.
