Truly glad that it will be two years before going back to the dreadful playing field…. Honestly there are better HS fields that cow pasture.
We did what we had to get done .. defense is truly special..
Took a punch gave up 10 points then made adjustments… credit our players and coaches…
Last two games need to heal our starters…
Solid win …
Go Dawgs

Just by playing there we knew we were going to have injuries, don’t know why it is what it is,but it happens every time we are there.

That field is a disgrace, and I'm sick of every time we go there we sustain multiple injuries.
Solid win. Stetson played well enough.. made some plays with his legs, but also had a couple of errant passes. We had one probably TD taken away when they held our guy but it wasn't called.
Defense was solid after the 1st drive. It's a tough offense to play.
Now lets just get well over the next couple of weeks.

I was watching the game with pop last night munching on boiled peanuts and mentioned that exact thing. He was worried about the injuries stacking up. Told him that I didn't seen any injury that looked serious, but this is exactly where depth & recruiting comes into play. Every team will use the phrase "next man up," but when you see our 2nd and 3rd string guys come in and perform at a high level, this is why Kirby takes helicopter rides to high school games and why his staff recruits across this land at an obsessive level. When you stack & pack 4 and 5 stars, you don't feel the pain of injuries like other teams will. Now that's not to say we can just be flippant about losing guys like Nolan Smith or Jordan Davis, but its to say that we have pretty damned good talent sitting right behind them that would start on just about any SEC roster right now.
