Yep, some teams use the full 6,480 sq, yds. to run their offense, while others eschew all of that space for a fist fight contested mainly between the hash marks....

One takes greater advantage of space and speed. The other limits opportunities, while protecting deficiencies.

We've been the latter for the past 2 years....

There is much to be said for making the defense defend the entire field; width and length.

That can be done and you can still be a team that runs the ball with strength.
